Capítulo 80: Ch. 80: The Ginyu Force (2)

"We need to make a run for it! If we split up..." Krillin started, but Nappa shut him down coldly.

"They'll kill us one by one, make their wish, then blow up the planet. We can't run from this." He growled.

"You've grown a brain cell or two, Nappa. Nice to see your growth. Very inspiring." Ginyu said. Nappa didn't answer.

"We need to fight them together. If we combine our powers and use every trick we know, we might be able to hold out long enough to survive... if we're lucky." Vegeta said.

"Right. We just need to buy time for Goku and Raditz to show up." Piccolo agreed with Vegeta, but Vegeta wasn't so sure.

"Kakarot and Raditz? Sure, they were stronger than us on Earth, but..." He thought aloud.

"Don't worry, Vegeta. We can win this." I assured Vegeta, "As long as we all fight together."

"All right, I've let you chat enough! I'll handle Vegeta. You four can divide the other five up however you want." Ginyu declared. The other Ginyu Force members immediately began whining at that.

"Come on, Captain! I owe Vegeta one! Let me have him!" Guldo pleaded, breaking the camel's back.

Ginyu threw his hands into the air in surrender, "You win. Have Vegeta, I don't care. Just make sure he's still breathing when you bring him back to Frieza, are we clear?" He eyed his men, who cheered.

"AND WHO ARE WE!?"

"WE ARE THE GINYU FORCE!"

"And don't forget it, or you'll regret it!"

They did another pose.

"Okay, who gets who, then?" Recoome asked. When they immediately began arguing, they decided to have a rock paper scissors match to decide who got Vegeta. They kept playing the same hand. Over and over again.

"Are you sure that we shouldn't be trying to get away?" Krillin muttered, as annoyed as the rest of us were.

"Every second they waste here, Goku and Raditz are that much closer to landing." Gohan reminded him, "If we try to flee, they'll start searching for us." It was clear to everyone what he meant. If they began searching the planet for power signatures on their scouters, it was entirely possible that they'd end up finding Namekians instead, who wouldn't be able to put up a fight. Or, they might find Bulma and Cargo instead. Either way, we couldn't run.

"Ha-haa! I got Vegeta, I got Vegeta!" Recoome finally won the rock-paper-scissors match. He'd be fighting Vegeta by himself, it sounded like.

"Uck. I'll take the girl, then." Annoyed, Guldo decided on me as a second option. Nice to know that I'm hated.

"We'll take the rest. It really doesn't matter what combination, right mate?" Jeice decided with a sigh.

"I really wanted to take Vegeta on myself... Oh well, we can practice our combination moves." Burter agreed with Jeice.

"Good. Now that you guys have that sorted out, I should really take these Dragon Balls to Lord Frieza." Ginyu said, picking the Dragon Balls up telepathically. Before any of us could stop him, he flew off with the Dragon Balls in tow.

"Tch." Piccolo clicked his tongue, watching Ginyu quickly disappear over the horizon and out of sight.

"We'll catch him later. We don't have much of a choice." Vegeta said reluctantly, "Girl, come here." Vegeta motioned toward me.

"Yeah?" I walked over to Vegeta so that he could whisper into my ear.

"Making a plan!? Won't help you!" Recoome shouted at us, but we ignored him.

"Finish Guldo off quickly, and use your head. If he can see an attack coming, he can stop time and dodge it. He's incredibly weak physically, but don't make light of his psychic powers... Even saying all that, he's not the real threat. Once you finish Guldo off, wait for the right moment and break Jeice and Burter's teamwork. Once they're out of sync, the rest of you should be able to deal with them while I stall Recoome." Vegeta whispered to me.

"Got it." I nodded. Vegeta's strategy was actually pretty good. Destroying their teamwork had worked wonders for Goku in the original, even though he'd done it by absolutely steamrolling them with his awesome might.

Of course, I had my own plan. Each of the current Ginyu Force members here had their own strength. Guldo had a natural ability to mess with space and time, but he was useless in literally every other way. Even with my current power level, none of his techniques would work on me at all, Grey Mode or no. Recoome was a tank, and fairly fast too, but he was dumb as a rock. One Special Beam Cannon from Piccolo and he'd be a goner.

Burter's specialty was speed, but really he was an all-rounder, just like Jeice, who likely technically specialized in the manipulation of energy, as the closest thing the Ginyu Force had to a vice-captain. Since Jeice and Burter came as a set, and preferred to use tons of ki in their attacks, rather than make purely physical ones, I suspected that we'd end up needing to split them up and wear them down unless I pulled out a few techniques that I really didn't want to show off until the Android Saga.

"Piccolo, immediately start working on a Special Beam Cannon for Recoome." I whispered, casually passing Piccolo by to face down Guldo. I was answered by a small, almost imperceptible nod.

"I think we've given you enough time to say your goodbyes... We really should split up a bit, so that our fights don't get in the way of each other. Can't have you mates working together, right?" Jeice said.

"Fine by me. See that island over there, Recoome?" Vegeta flew off with Recoome behind him, but he didn't go far.

"We'll head in the other direction, girl. Unless you want me to just kill you now and get it over with... but I'd feel bad for not being able to savor it, so move." Guldo told me. I flew off, hot on his tail. His power level was technically supposed to be higher than mine, but it definitely didn't feel that way. He felt slow as a snail.
