"I don't believe you! There is no way that Xiao Ran could ever let himself be disadvantage in any kind of situation. "
Tang Wulin shouted and vehemently denied the claims of Wei Xiao Feng which Xie Xie absolutely agree.
"Haha I don't know where you are getting this confidence but if you won't believe me then go find someone. Hmm I think your roommates should know about this incident as I saw them having a private conversation with Xiao Ran before."
Wei Xiao Feng laughed happily and left one last remark before leaving.
"I guess you never noticed this as Xiao Ran seems to always looks fine around you all the time but the pressured he face those times was something you all could never imagined yet I was puzzled by the fact he could still smile during those moments with you guys. I never knew why he didn't fought back nor what so special with you three that he was willing to make a sacrifice."
" But you three aren't worthy to be his equal nor worth the sacrifices he made. "
Wei Xiao Feng looks at them disdainfully before leaving yet that last remark kept repeating throughout their mind.
Tang Wulin and the others still couldn't accept the truth and yet each one of them didn't say much but left with gloomy atmosphere while Xie Xie began to investigate about this incident and also researching about their next opponents.
Even with his steadfast and calm mind Tang Wulin couldn't help but let out a scream after separating from Xie Xie and Gu Yue as throughout this time he was just holding back his anger and at that moment golden scales began to show in different parts of his body but it quickly disappeared.
Soon time passed and the trio quickly came together at School Canteen having dinner yet Xie Xie have a heavy face after meeting them.
"Wei Xiao Feng was right, I talked with our roommates and they knew about the incident yet Xiao Ran have made them to keep quiet about the matter and left us out in the dark."
Xie Xie explained bitterly after having a bite with his meal while Tang Wulin could only clench his fist before breathing slowly and could only accept the bitter truth.
"That's not all, Our class one this year is actually called the strongest new class in the last hundred years. We saw Wei Xiao Feng today, and we found out that he isn't even the most powerful of the three. As all three of them have three soul rings. "
" All for the sake of that class, the academy recently issued out some new rules for the Class Promotion Tournament. Classes can no longer skip grades anymore, they can only climb up to a better class number. Clearly, they're afraid that this year's class one will sweep away the upper grades and influence them negatively. Right now, class one has the most qualified teachers. Clearly, the academy values them highly. Reportedly, they're considering letting them skip grades right now."
Their opponents were actually so powerful! Tomorrow, they would be facing these powerful opponents on stage. This was simply too sudden.
He could tell from Xie Xie and Gu Yue's expressions that their confidence had already been shaken yet the thought of Xiao Ran having to experience mockery for hanging out with them instantly ignited his determination to win at all cost.
The three of them sat there silently. Tang Wulin was so disturbed, that he had actually lost his appetite.
Right at that moment, a piece of news was suddenly broadcast in the dining hall.
"Teachers and students, pay attention! Teachers and students, pay attention! The following announcement is an emergency announcement. Our meteorology department has notified us that a strong tropical storm will be passing by tonight. This storm is an extremely powerful typhoon and is forecasted to persist for a whole week. Thus, for the next week, students are advised to not leave the academy and all classes will be suspended during the typhoon. Please wait quietly in your dorms. The Class Promotion Tournament will be temporarily suspended until the typhoon has passed."
The trio looked at one another.
This meant they had another week to improve themselves and investigate their opponents.
However… it didn't make much difference. What could they possibly accomplish in only a week's time? Even for Xie Xie, who was the closest one to reach two rings, it was virtually impossible to cultivate to that level in a week!
Tang Wulin's expression suddenly froze as he suddenly stood up and walked away.
"Wulin, where are you going?" Xie Xie hastily chased after him and asked.
Tang Wulin didn't even bother to turn around as he answered, "I'm going to go settle a small matter. The typhoon is about to hit, so I need to leave quickly." Having said this, he quickly rushed out of the dining hall.
Xie Xie also left quickly as having a new found determination to become stronger and be the championship in this tournament to proved that Xiao Ran never made a mistake about them.
While Gu Yue was left alone outside the Academy feeling dazed as up till now she never let out a single emotion after hearing about the incident of Xiao Ran and acted fine.
Rain slowly began to pour and in a matter of minutes a strong storm began to rage yet Gu Yue looks lost and peer through the gloomy sky letting the rain flow through her which instantly made her clothes all soaked.
"Hey, Yue'er aren't you done playing around with the rain."
Suddenly a playful voice suddenly emerged behind her back and an umbrella was on top of her head thus shielding her from the rain.
Gu Yue turned around and only to stare at Xiao Ran before slowly walking towards him and hugging him out of a sudden which took Xiao Ran by surprise.
"Hey are you ok?"
Xiao Ran worriedly asked but Gu Yue didn't reply and continued to hug him for a few moments before letting go.
"Hmm, I'm fine anyway what's that your holding?"
Gu Yue noticed that Xiao Ran was holding a plastic bag and was curious about it.
"Oh this? I bought some desserts on the way and I also bought my dinner. Anyway can you hold it for a moment."
Xiao Ran handed over the plastic bag and the umbrella to Gu Yue and began taking off his jacket.
"Here, use this for now before you catch a cold and anyway what are you doing here letting yourself get drench."
Xiao Ran helplessly asked Gu Yue while looking at her as if though she was some idiot.
Gu Yue didn't reply towards his sarcastic gaze and began wearing Xiao Ran jacket which surprisingly fit well to her.
"Anyway let's go back to our dormitory and let's have dinner if you want to join me."
Xiao Ran suggested and began heading towards their dorm while Gu Yue followed along quietly.
After entering their dorm Gu Yue quickly took a shower while Xiao Ran began to prepare the foods in the table and patiently waited for Gu Yue.
Xiao Ran noticed that Gu Yue was acting strange towards him but he never inquired her what's wrong.
Xiao Ran and Gu Yue had a quiet meal which was a bizarre moment but he didn't say much nor have the intention to make a conversation with her.
After having cleaned the table Xiao Ran closed the lights and began to meditate when suddenly Gu Yue called out to him.
"Can you stay with me for a while."
Gu Yue softly spoke yet Xiao Ran heard her and was about to ignore her but when he looks through her eyes reminds him that night and couldn't help but stayed besides her.
Although the storm outside kept on raging hard but at that moment Xiao Ran and Gu Yue could only felt peace and warm. That night Xiao Ran and Gu Yue didn't meditate at all nevertheless they unknowingly slept peacefully.
