52.5% Doomsday: I, the Extraordinary Mechanic! / Chapter 21: The Mechanic's Harvest and the Woman in the Truck Shop

Capítulo 21: The Mechanic's Harvest and the Woman in the Truck Shop

Editor: Atlas Studios

Johnson started forward, because he had finally found what he needed.

Standing in front of the pile driver, Johnson raised his hands.

The pile driver slowly floated up.

Johnson then moved his fingers, breaking down the pile driver into individual parts.

He retracted his right hand and one of the square-shaped components flew over.

Johnson caught it with his hand, his eyes burning with excitement.

This part was especially small compared to the entire product, and was known as the 'Stabilizer'.

Most mechanical products did not have this, only those heavy that were required to perform intensive work would use this.

Its function was also very simple.

When the pile driver's stump arm was in action, the stabilizer could reduce the shaking of the pile driver's base and prevent its other parts from being damaged.

This stabilizer was a component that was needed for the Geocentric Gravity Enhancement Device.

As long as he could bring this stabilizer back and create this device, even if they were attacked by the Smoker in the future, this Geocentric Gravity Enhancement Device could ensure that the user would not be dragged away by its tongue!

In this manner, the Smoker would pose no bigger threat than the ordinary zombies!

Thinking of this point, Johnson smiled.

He placed the stabilizer into his system storage.

As he was about to go back, Johnson thought for a moment, before dismantling another pile driver.

Since Monica had already followed him and still called him Master, it was also necessary for him to take care of her if it did not affect his own interests.

Since that was the case, he would help Monica build a Geocentric Gravity Enhancement Device as well.

After putting the two stabilizers into his storage, Johnson took some other items with him.

For example, some materials needed for surveillance cameras.

As well as the materials needed for warning alarms.

There was no need to spend points to purchase the blueprints for those.

As an apprentice mechanic, Johnson only needed materials to build such rudimentary products.

Not only that, Johnson also brought back some pure iron machinery products.

These iron products could be dismantled and used to make his Nanometer-Grade iron platings.

If possible, Johnson wanted his base to be an impenetrable place, and not a place where people would live in insecurity.

As long as he had these things, he would be able to relax when he was in the base. He would not have to worry about any threats or losses.

Johnson left the factory immediately after he finished his material gathering.

But instead of returning to the factory immediately, he went to another place.

The truck shop!

That's right, bulldozers were very rare, and Johnson wasn't sure where to find one.

But trucks were easy to find.

As long as he found a truck that was heavy enough, he could basically use it in replacement to clean up those zombie corpses.

At most, he could just install a cart shovel to the truck. It was not something difficult to make.

Johnson drove the black SUV to the back of the truck and was about to get out when he froze.

It was because he saw that there was actually a survivor in front who was looking at him!

Furthermore…

The other party was holding a gun!

Johnson narrowed his eyes, but still got out of the car.

With his reaction speed, it was hard to say that he could completely avoid the bullet, but at least he could avoid getting shot in the head.

He did not need to worry too much about his body. The sturdiness of his Mechanic suit was comparable to a bulletproof vest. At least he would not die.

Seeing Johnson get out of the car, the woman on the other side immediately spoke out a warning,

"Stop, don't come over."

Clearly, the other party didn't trust Johnson and had some animosity.

In this apocalyptic world, no one would casually trust a stranger.

Those who believed in others were all dead.

Johnson smiled and looked at the woman in front of him.

She had wine-red hair and fair skin.

There was some heroic spirit in her eyes, and she did not look like a weak woman.

Her chest area… was moderate, at least around C cup size.

Her waist and legs were slim, but they gave off a healthy feeling.

Johnson looked relaxed even though he was being pointed at. He even had time to check out this woman's figure.

This action made the woman feel uncomfortable.

"Stop looking!"

She let out another warning.

Johnson remained on his feet, but he smiled.

"Relax. I believe that we don't have any ill intentions. At most, we just don't trust each other that much.

"But you know that it's very difficult for a person to survive in this apocalyptic world."

The woman pursed her lips and did not retort.

Because Johnson was right.

No one could guarantee their own survival.

Even if someone could stay alert and avoid all the zombies perfectly…

…What about when they slept?

Could anyone not close their eyes for 24 hours, day after day?

That was impossible.

As long as they were still mortals, they needed to cooperate.

That was what she understood deeply after the zombie virus outbreak.

But therein came the problem.

Was this man really trustworthy?

Just as the woman was pondering this issue, Johnson suddenly took off his backpack.

The woman immediately reacted, shouting out,

"I told you not to move!"

The woman had pulled the bolt. If Johnson had made her feel dangerous, she would have fired without hesitation.

But Johnson ignored her.

He opened his backpack and revealed the contents.

The woman who was about to pull the trigger widened her eyes and gulped.

Food!

A bag full of food!
