"You can just talk like this, I enjoy holding Mrs. Lucas." His mood seemed great, possibly due to the recent kiss.

Lily Gray took a moment to steady herself, noticing a brighter gleam in his deep, dark eyes than usual, easing her worries.

It was perfect if his mood was good; she could then seize the opportunity to bring up her request.

"The thing is…" she intertwined her hands nervously, looking quite tense. "Do you remember our prenuptial agreement?"
