Great story. Does the ship have the ability to time travel as well? If so you could gain even more Federation technology from a possible divergent timeline. Even could gain crew via transporting onto your cloaked ship some doomed soul that was due to die in the original timeline ( Tasha Yar, Charles Tucker III, Data, Jadzia Dax, pretty much anyone from Voyager cause they've been quatum duplicated before, etc ). The timeline would still be intact as long as you aren't discovered.
I've always enjoyed the concept of a dimensional ship. Maybe he can go to the Stargate universe and increase his knowledge ( Asgard hyperdrive, ZPMs, the sarcophagus tech, SGI robots, etc) or Star Wars increase his adventures ( planetary shields, droids, bacta tanks, etc). So many choices.
