"So how is your boss now?" Jerry asks Isla. She didn't go home straight, instead, she stopped by his shop, they could both go home together after he was done with work. 

"He's fine now," she says "completely I hope" she adds in a whisper.

"I see." he nods, as he irons a cloth he was working on. "You huh_ you said something about him forgetting you, is_is huh_ does he still not remember?" He asks, and even though he knew feeling this way was kind of wrong, and that hoping for a certain kind of answer would only mean she would be sad, he still selfishly hoped the man would not remember, and maybe, just maybe he could be the one to mend her broken heart.
