"How long do I have to stay at the hospital until I'm discharged?"

"Jiu Li" asked.

"Probably around 4 days"

the doctor responded. Jiu Li felt his jaw drop as he was suprised. That long? My life is literally on the line right here, protagonist is likely after my head right now! I've got no time to spare!

"Is there any possibility to shorten the duration?",

Jiu Li anxiously asked.

"I cannot recall anything at present. If you would kindly excuse me, I have news to report and you may rest during my absence."

The doctor who just realized that he had abandoned his duties hastily said. Wait—I still have more questions! Jiu Li wanted to cry out. But he couldn't, it was way out character.

After the doctor stepped foot out of the door, Jou Li felt drowsy and fatigue permeated him.

His head fell back to the bed.

Sunlight seeped into Jiu Li eyes, 2 days have passed already. During that period of time, Jiu Li's "sister" has barged into the room, at first, Jiu Li was confused as he couldn't recall Jiu Li having a sister.

The day after, he contemplated hard and by afternoon, he remembered! She was mentioned once when Jiu Li mentioned that he spent his summer mourning for this "sister" at the first half of the story to his friends when they asked why he didn't join them in any activities during the summer and the novel started after the summer.

This meant that Jiu Li has't tormented the protagonist yet. Feeling relieved that he actually didn't have to anything, Jiu Li rewarded himself with sleep after racking his brains to uncover a "mystery".
