Adzima pov
Falco:"The next is a girl who has an ability to enlarge every part of her body at her will"
The hologram then displayed images and videos from Verval.
Adzima:"So, we are going to Verval now?"
We then said farewell to Aditya and proceeded to the garage.
Adzima:"Aditya, please take care of this mansion for us"
Aditya:"Please be very careful, you two"
We got into the car and drove straight to Verval, but this time instead of going through a tunnel, we drove through a road that seemed to be made of glass. We then arrived in a city that was chaotic but also incredibly quiet after going through the glass road.
I then asked Falco a few things while we were driving.
Adzima:"Are you certain you only need me for this?"
But he did not respond to my question and abruptly stopped his car. I then noticed a body lying on the road. We step out of the car to examine the body, but whoever it was, he is no longer alive, and he was not the only one, as far as I can see. More bodies covered the road. They all appear to have died from the same cause, presumably being shot, as evidenced by the many gunshot wounds on their bodies. I then felt a little nauseous when I saw all those bodies.
Falco:"You okay princess?"
Adzima:"I will"
We then got back into the car and continued our journey until we arrived at what appeared to be a prison, where I witnessed another horrifying scene. We watched the guards fire at the possessed locals. It appears that the corpses we saw before were also theirs.
Falco:"I'm sorry you have to see this"
Falco then activated the missiles buried in the car's front hood by accessing the hologram on the windscreen. Before Falco fired the missiles, I noticed the hologram on the glass begin to lock onto multiple targets.
The missiles then destroyed the prison's front gate and the guards' post, killing the guards who were still busy massacring the locals. Falco then drove into the prison, and the two of us broke into the main prison building immediately. When we entered, however, we were welcomed by guards who instantly started firing at us with a barrage of bullets.
At the same time Falco activated the barrier device, I swiftly created a water barrier around us. We soon realised that the locals behind us were still attempting to infiltrate the prison. Falco and I nodded, and I turned to face the back to keep the locals away and protect us from behind, while Falco took care of the guards and protected the front. While I attempted to defeat the locals without injuring them, Falco did not hesitate to fire and kill the guards who attacked us from the front. I give him a sidelong glare, but I'll save it for later.
When we arrived at the main control room of the prison, Falco immediately connected the prison's system to the small computer on his wrist. I then quickly confronted him about his previous actions.
Adzima:"Why did you kill those guards"
Falco:"They were not possessed, princess, they slaughtered the locals on their own free will"
Adzima:"However, that is not a reason to kill them"
Falco:"Stop being naive princess, it will eventually destroy you"
I can only sigh. I know he's right, but I can't bring myself to agree with him.
Adzima:"I know it's late, but why are we in a prison?"
Falco:"The girl is here"
Falco then led me to the front of one of the isolation cell and hacked the prison system to unlock the cell door. I could hear a tired girl's voice from within the cell.
Voice:"What else now? What do you guys wants?"
I was worried at first since whoever is locked up in an isolation cell is definitely a dangerous person, but my expression quickly changed to joy when I saw the girl was Qori, one of my best friends in middle school.
Adzima:"Qori!"
Qori:"Adzima!"
We hugged immediately but then we heard a commotion behind us and realised it was the Soul Devourers.
Qori suddenly let go of our hug and enlarged both of her hands. She then advised Falco to take a step aside.
Qori:"You! I don't know who you are, but because you're with Adzima, I'm going to assume that you're on our side, so you better move aside"
Qori then clapped her enlarged hands and created a wind force powerful enough to blow the Soul Devourers away.
Adzima:"Okay... That was awesome"
Adzima:"Now on to the more serious topic, Qori why were you locked up in an isolation cell?"
Qori:"Because of those awful guards, they were allowed to do whatever they pleased, which is why nearly everyone imprisoned in this prison is innocent"
Falco:"Are you sure that they are innocent?"
Qori:"Yes"
Falco then hacked the prison's system again using the small computer on his wrist and opened all of the cells inside. He then used the small computer again and warned us.
Falco:"Please move away from the wall, you two"
When Qori and I did what he said, the wall behind us exploded, and we could see Falco's car parked outside.
Qori looked at Falco, amazed, and then she asked him.
Qori:"Who are you?... Really"
Falco:"You can call me Falco, Qori"
Qori:"How do you know my name?"
Falco then pointed at me.
Falco:"She literally just said your name a while ago.... Twice"
Qori:"Okay okay, dumb question"
Adzima:"More important question, how do we get into the car while we're on the 5th floor?"
Qori:"Another dumb question Adzima"
Qori then jumped out and immediately enlarged her body, lifting us both and slowly placing us near the car before returning to her normal size.
Adzima:"Right... I forgot"
We then drove back to the mansion, and Aditya welcomed us.
Aditya:"Welcome back"
Aditya and Qori then smiled at each other.
Aditya:"Hello Qori, long time no see"
Qori:"Hello to you too, Aditya"
Falco:"How is your rest, your highness?"
Aditya:"I rest well thank you, and please just call me Aditya"
Falco:"Okay Aditya"
Qori was confused when Falco addressed Aditya as your highness, she then asked me in hushed tones.
Qori:"Did he just addressed Aditya as your highness?"
Adzima:"Ah right, Aditya is The King of Arts you know"
Qori:"What?..... What actually happened while I was imprisoned?"
Adzima:"Same as you, I was also confused at first"
Adzima:"But, the world is on the edge of destruction, so anything can happens"
Qori:"Make sense"
Qori:"By the way, why did you bring me here?"
Adzima:"Ah, I also forgot about that"
Adzima:"As I said before, the world is on the edge of destruction, therefore, we are assembling a team of people with extraordinary abilities to save it. Will you join us?"
Qori:"Okay, I'm in"
Falco then approached us and asked us to rest.
Falco:"Please rest you two, I need to prepare something before we go"
He then went downstairs to his workshop next to the garage.
Qori and I then sat on the sofa and talked, while Aditya sat quietly and listened. After talking for a while, I remembered I had something I wanted to say to Falco, so I went downstairs to see him.
Falco:"Do you need something princess?"
Adzima:"It's about what you said before, about stopping being naive"
Adzima:"I know that you are right, but I still cannot bring myself to agree with you"
Falco:"I know that, and I don't want you to"
Falco:"I just want you to understand that our opponents aren't just possessed locals and demons, sometimes humans can be far more terrifying than the demons"
