A young girl is looking out the window of a car driving in a hilly area. The shiny black car passed through a pine forest that was so refreshing to the eyes.
"Kimberly, don't go too far. Your head could be hit by another passing car," said a woman driving next to her.
Kimberly, the name of the young girl. He obeyed what the woman beside her said. She is Viona, the mother.
Kimberly didn't say much. she raised the windshield a little higher. Otherwise, she will be tempted to stick her head out.
The mother turned to the young girl. she smiled, but her expression felt odd.
"I hope you will enjoy living in this city," said Viona and a smile.
Kimberly Watson twenty-year-old girl. She recently moved to X City after her father, Nicholas Watson. Suddenly died only an hour after leaving for work. One sunny morning.
One year had passed in the capital since her father's departure. Viona, the mother, can not just forget the husband.
Kimberly, the girl who had been cheerful, had turned into a gloomy mood since then. You know, Kim, her nickname. She is very close to his father.
Several hours passed. They also entered the city X. A small town in the North. Very far from the capital. Viona deliberately moved as far as possible from the capital. To forget the shadow of her husband.
Arriving at the city X. They entered a village towards a house large enough for the size of a house in a village.
"That's our house, Mother?" Kimberly asked.
"Yes, Honey," Viona replied as she parked her car in the yard.
Kimberly looked at the house with a disapproving look. You know. She is a city girl. No matter how big the new house she occupies. Still will be different from her house in the Capital city.
Without wasting much time, Kimberly got out of the car. She looked around the place. Very beautiful. Lots of trees here and there. Moreover, the view of the hill is very pleasing to the eye.
"Excuse me!" an old man approached them. Viona, who was busy lowering her bag and belongings, immediately turned around.
"Yes?" said Viona.
"Are you the new house owner?" asked the old man.
"Oh, yes. I'm the new owner of this house." Viona extended her hand toward the old man. "I'm Viona Bites."
The man smiled and welcomed Viona's outstretched hand.
"Frank. My name is Frank Timothy. I happen to be the village chief here," replied the old man.
"Oh, you're Mr. Timothy? Sorry, I just found out."
"Oh, come on. Just Frank," said the village head.
"Okay, Frank. So, what do you mean by coming, Frank? We just arrived. And we don't know anything about this place," said Viona.
While Viona was talking to the village head. Kimberly looked engrossed in walking around. Even though she didn't really like moving here. She just likes the serene atmosphere in this village.
Kimberly turned to her mother, who was busy talking. It doesn't look like someone suffering from being abandoned by her husband.
"Kim!" call Viona. "Come here!"
Kimberly took a deep breath. She didn't say much and went straight to her mother.
"What is it?" Kimberly asked.
"You must get acquainted with this master. She is Frank Timothy, the village head of this place," said Viona.
Without asking much, Kim stretched out her hand. "Kimberly Watson," Kim said with a faint smile.
Village head Frank welcomed Kim's outstretched hand and smiled very kindly at Kim. "You are so sweet and beautiful too."
"Thank you," said Kim nonchalantly.
Yes, Kim is cold. No, she's not cold. She's just lonely. And it made her mother feel guilty.
"Kim, can you take your bag inside? I'll talk to Frank first," Viona asked gently to the daughter.
"Yeah." The girl didn't say much. She immediately took her bag from the trunk of the car. Then took her into her new home.
"Kim!" called Viona when Kimberly climbed the stairs leading to the house's terrace. The girl turned to her mother angrily.
"You forgot the key," said Viona as she took the house key and threw it to Kimberly.
With one catch, Kim managed to reach the key in her hand. Then he opened the door and walked in.
"Sorry, Frank. My daughter is going through quite a difficult time," said Viona asking for Frank's understanding.
"Oh, I see. I heard something bad happened in town. You don't need to apologize. Some people just need time to heal," Frank said.
Viona smiled. How lucky. The first person he met in this town was Frank. Looks like he's good.
"Then I will go in. Kim will grumble if I don't clean the house immediately," said Viona, begging to resign.
"Oh, all right. Do you need any help, Mrs. Watson?" asked Frank Timothy.
Heard Mrs. Watson's call from Frank. Instantly made Viona think of her husband. Her husband is gone. Can she still be called Watson again?
"Can you call me Viona? I'm a little sensitive when I hear that name."
"Oh, sorry. I'm sorry. All right. Do you need help managing your house, Mrs. Viona?" Frank asked again.
"Maybe not today, Frank. My daughter isn't used to strangers yet. Sorry." Viona refuses Frank's help in a friendly manner. She didn't want to bother anyone right now.
"Okey, fine. I'll let you have some time with your new house. If anything comes up. You can call me at my house. You're just a few yards from here. The house with the pine tree next to it," Frank said.
"Okay, Frank. Thanks for the hospitality. I'll try to feel in town."
"Okay, good."
Frank left Viona's house. The old man seemed to want to carry out his duties as a good mayor.
After Frank left. Viona immediately took the things in the trunk of the car. Then brought him into the house.
Inside the house, his daughter, Kimberly, was nowhere to be seen.
"Kim, help me. Don't take a break right away. We have to clear things up first!" called Viona.
Unfortunately, there was no reply from Kimberly. Nobody don't know what the girl did. The mother was finally forced to move everything in the car by herself.
"Kids these days, really!" Viona grumbled.
Meanwhile, Kim, the girl, was behind the house. After placing the bag containing his clothes in the living room. She walked around the house. She didn't want to go back to the front and had to talk to Frank. Behind her house, she found the fact that the house was connected by a small path leading to an apple orchard.
The apple orchard didn't seem too well-groomed. Out of curiosity, she walked into the vineyard. Nothing is interesting in the apple orchard other than the apples are not even ripe. But Kimberly loves this place. This place feels calming. Until she saw something not far from where she was standing.
