Capítulo 76: There’s Nothing We Could Do

NARU landed on Kahaku's falls where Shina was there, too, together with Yoshiko.

          "What happened?"

          "Why do you have Maeko?"

          "What did you do?"

          Questions arise the moment he landed. Cradled in his arms was the sleeping Maeko and he cannot put her down. Not until Kahaku tends to her.

          "She's unconscious—"

          "Naru!" Shina's voice laced with nagging. "I know that you don't like the child but to hurt her is…"

          He shot up a death stare at his sister. "What nonsense are you talking about? And you, what are you all doing here? Where's the deity?"

          Shina and Yoshiko looked at each other. His sister just looked away as Yoshiko sadly bowed his head.

          Fear set in his chest as the gloom in them looked like an extension of the darkness that was looming over the forest.

          "Tell me!" He shouted at them.
