Capítulo 2: Chapter 1 : Fox Girls
You are out raiding the local town for small electronics,like cellphones,batteries,powerbanks even computer parts are good for the taking.
It's just a few weeks until winter,weather is getting colder,supplies are getting stocked up.Everyone is working hard at Home.
The Men that are with you are:
Sergey - Communications and Demolition expert in the Russian Army,he retired and moved with his family to the local region,before the Outbreak,he is married and has 2 Children,a Boy and a Girl,both aged 8.He manages to Communication between you'r Unit and Home Base.
Boris - ex Russian Special Forces training officer,he taught you things that are horrible and evil,but also necessary in a world like this,he is married has one Daughter at home,aged 19.
Dima - local anti-terrorism officer,knows everything about interrogating someone,regardless of past,gender.He takes care of prisoners and people you need to get information out of.He taught you everything there is for interrogating someone,he is married as well,his wife is pregnant.
The Four of you move along the streets and move up one of the electronic corporation's office buildings.Scavenging for anything and everything you can fit in you'r backpacks,everyone has different backpacks,depending on they'r role.
Moving along the floor,grabbing everything important,you even found a few graphics cards,they can sell for a bit with the Russians.
Once you reach the top floor you go down again,reaching bottom floor, all of you move towards the next building,it's a small repair shop,but is locked and no signs of breakin.Could be profitable...
But then...you look out the window--and see two Girls...with Fox tails and ears,casually walking down the street without knowing there are NATO troops moving towards them.
"Sergey,NATO patrol North-East!" you tell him,leaping out the window.
Once you hit the ground you immediately open fire on the unsuspecting NATO soldiers,one full mag of you AS VAL did the job perfectly...armor shredded...soldiers dead.
"Chief,what the hell was that ?! Have you gone insane ?!" Sergey yells from the building,it seems he hasn't noticed the two Fox Girls on the street.
"Sergey, grab' i peregruppirovyvaysya na menya.(Sergey,loot and regroup on me.)" you order him.
"Kak skazhete shef.(As you say chief)" he responds.
The two Fox Girls are looking terrified at the man,which leaped out a window and saved they'r life's.
Not knowing what to say,the Foxes are staring at you,all dressed in black...magazine empty gun smoking.
"What are you two doing outside ? It's bright daylight,in the middle of the street ?" you ask them.
"We-we-we where just searching for a place to stay---Please don't hurt us!" they say frightened...not knowing you won't hurt them.
"Chief,what now ? We got everything we need." Dima says walking up to you.
"Loot those bodies,dog tags as well...they could sell for a bit" you tell him,pointing at the now dead NATO troops.
"Look,i am sorry if i scared you...i just...leaped out the window...without thinking straight..." you explain to the foxes.
"We are really thankful for your deeds,we can't pay you back..." one of them says putting her head down.
"How about this...you come with us...we are heading to place to sleep and recover...we won't hurt you,promised" you say putting your hand out.
"S-s-sure...we will follow you." the other fox twin replies,shaking your hand in agreement.
Looking over to your Men you see them loot,but...there is a shadow walking up to the from the street behind them,judging from it's movement...it has to be a infected.
"Sergey,Dima,Boris Vysmatrivat'!(look out!)" you yell out,making the creature alert of your presence.
You get ready to engage...just before you hear a roar from your left...it's and infected charging at the unaware Foxes.
"My dolzhny pereyekhat', nas okruzhayut, v ubezhishche!(We have to move,we're surrounded,to the safehouse !)" you yell and order to your Men,they acknowledge it and regroup on you.
You drag the Fox Girls with you towards the safe house....you tell the Foxes to stay in front of you,as you are the last member in the formation.
"We're almost there,just a little bit more" Dima shouts.
Judging from the expression,the Foxes are almost out of breath.Sergey signals to a nearby door,saying its a shortcut.
Launching at the door,it opens and you all rush inside,you stay behind holding the door so the infected can't get inside.
You await the signal that you can move and regroup with them.
After you are safe,you crouch in front of the Foxes hiding behind you,shooting the infected eager to kill you.
After mowing them down,you check your ammo count,so do your Men.You ask for a sitrep.
Dima 2 reserve plus 1(in the gun),2 empty - Sergey 3 reserve plus 1,1 empty - Boris 1 reserve plus 1,4 empty.Those numbers are decent.
Telling your Men to advance to the safe house your check on the Foxes,they are not scared anymore,they are...curious,happy as well ?
After a few minutes you reach the back alley of the building you where just in,Sergey pointing at the door which is the safe house.
Sergey says the door is locked and welded shut,the only option is to climb on the fire ladder that sits comfortably above you.
You tell your Men to go first and secure the house,you let the Girls climb in first and you are last..checking your surrounding before climbing in.
It was a difficult climb,even tho you did it multiple times.
Once you inside the house you tell the foxes to sit on a set of mattresses.Assign your Men a task each, Dima - Ammo , Sergey - Inventory and Boris - Overwatch.
"That wasn't freaking funny...that was like running a 5km marathon in 20kg of gear..." Dima says exhausted.
You nod in agreement,catching your breath,just like the others.
The foxes are wagging they'r tales while sitting on the couch.As if interested in your behaviour.
"Everybody got they'r MRE's ?" you ask your Men.
They affirm you'r question,everyone is putting they'r MRE's to warm up while you are doing your assigned tasks.You are looking at the map that is layed out in the middle of the table.
A few minutes pass,everyone has taken off they'r armored vest and helmets,revealing your face's.The Foxes seem to be cold...
"Hey,you two are cold ?" you ask them,as if it isn't obvious.
They nod in dissagreement,but you still give them a blanket,putting it around them.
"Thank you,but it-it wasn't necessary." one of them says.
"Not to worry about." you answer them.
Even tho the foxes are cold,sitting in the same room as you four....but is seems that you'r bodies are still hot from all the running.Fox's body temperature must be dropping fast after a good run..
The MRE's are ready,each one of you take's they'rs and enjoys....except...you take one last look at the foxes,looking at how you are eating.
"Hm...i would be a monster if i wouldn't do this" you say as you are giving the Fox Girls your MRE,together with the spoon,giving them a pet on the head.
"You know....others say the opposite.." Boris adds.
"I know...do i look like i care about they'r words ?" you say sarcasticly.
The Foxes can just wonder and look at the MRE,you just gave them.It's strange for them to recieve warm food,for doing nothing.
"Thank you Sir,but we don't deserve this." one of them says.
"Keep it...i will eat the Energy bar." you say with a smile on your face.
The Fox Girls drop they'r ears when they hear your words.They slowly eat and enjoy the warm food.
"Ya know...it's soothing for my blackened soul to see such a heart warming sight." you tell your men.
"No Jokes....speaking of which,why black heart ?" Dima asks,eating.
"Well...you know my story...was left alone for over a decade...to survive without no one there to help or to welcome me home,after a long day at school.I never enjoyed coming home from school,i hated it like the pest." you explain them.
The Foxes seem to have hear it and are...feeling sorry.
"Hey your two...don't feel sorry for a fool like me...be happy...you have each other." you tell them.
But what do you know,Foxes are not like Humans...they actually feel sorry for the people that helped them when they needed it.Especially when you have them a warm meal,how can they not feel sorry for your being ?
You decide to take a seat,put your feet up on the table and drink your coffee and enjoy the Energy Bar.
Suddenly...both the foxes stand up,while you are looking at the map and wondering where to go next.
They Stand beside you.One of them holds the MRE while the other holds the Spoon.
"What is it you two,don't like the food ?" you ask them playfully.
"No,we want you to eat as well.." they say.
Hearing those words strikes a spear through your iced heart,vaporizing it,slowly.
One of the Foxes moves the Spoon with food towards your mouth,as if wanting to feed you.
You can't do anything else except open and let them feed you.
"Ha ! The Chief has become a Kid again! Hooray !" Sergey says it as a joke,your Men enjoy it.
The Foxes keep feeding you until the MRE bag is empty.
"I never thought i would taste food ever again..." you say,after realizing that you actually could taste the food.
"What do you mean,taste again ?" one of the foxes asks.
"You see...i lost my taste a while back,before the outbreak.I thought i will never be able to taste food again." you explain to the Foxes.
"Thank you,very much" you explain your gratitude.
They nod,smiling,tales wagging around.
"It's a little bit weird to ask,but do you want to stay at my place ?" you ask the Foxes.
"Of course,thank you !" one of them says immediately,as if waiting for you to ask.
What just happened filled your ice cold hear,with joy,happiness and a much brighter hope for the future,with two gorgeous,fluffy Fox Girls.
