Solus was right about one thing, Fiona thought days later as their craft began its descent into the chosen planet's atmosphere. They did fight about her involvement in the operation to snag the human who'd hurt her. Fought, then had wild sex. Fought some more, and tore at each other's clothes. They battled with words, but neither would give way. She still wanted to kill the bastard. He wanted her safe.

The part of her that loved him, relished the fact he cared. The part of her that needed vengeance would not be swayed, no matter what he did to her body. And he did some truly pleasurable things in an attempt to change her mind.
