But there had been plenty of times when Ember had cuddled with Noxtis and he spoke of his time growing up in the Galapagos Tribe with only his adoptive Grandmother and never knowing where his birth parents were or if they were even alive.

Justifiably worried about the entire mother situation, it was undeniable that Noxtis had also reached out to her. He hadn't spoken much, but it was clear that he trusted this mysterious mother due to their shared connection. In the end, Embervesent chose to put her trust in Noxtis, her soul mate.
