Honestly, the distance from where Embervesent had woken up to the location where Riqar was guarding Noxtis was not that far.

That distance was both a blessing and a curse for the Crimson Princess. She felt both glad that she wouldn't have to tax her current body too much, and that she could see him sooner.

But...at the same time, she also wished with all her heart that it would be a much longer trek. She felt...nervous and uneasy. To see Noxtis and how he was doing.

Embervesent felt like she would rather fight the horde of beastkin right now than feel the butterflies swimming in her belly.

If the brief moment of how she saw his condition to be earlier, then she could only hope that he was even slightly better.

Much too soon, they had arrived at the small hovel where Riqar was standing stoic. Looking at the burly dragonkin though, even the strongest core disciple of the Crimson Scale tribe hadn't escaped unscathed.
