Vanilla meditated the patriarch's words. For an entity like Nihil, they didn't sound any crazy as she believed they would be before she and her friends visited him. But he had not told the whole story yet. Rowie was once again above her lap.

"Well," She spoke, stretching her arms. "Now tell me. How do I set myself free from Nihil's dominion? How do we stop them from acceding the Sacred Chamber?"

The bald man of greybeards drank from his cup of wine before responding. "Naturally, the easiest way to do so would be if you put the barrel or your revolver inside your mouth and pull the trigger. But there is still the possible danger of that kid Eric, or that unknown fifth young soul. However, as I was telling you, there is another way..."
