Capítulo 4: Ch. 4
Adler looks at the girl running towards him. He sighs. "I think I told you to stop calling me that." He says to the girl.
"I will when you tell me your name!"
"..."
Lilac sits next to him. "Isn't the meadow so beautiful Cloudy?" She says as she looks at the scenery. She glances at his face. "Hey, your bruises are so much worse now! What happened?"
"None of your business!"
"Did you fight again?"
"So what if I did?" Adler snaps at her.
Lilac shrinks back out of shock. Suddenly, she starts tearing up. "I just.. I was just... Asking because I was worried!" she says between sniffles.
Adler frantically tries to calm her down. Darn it, why is she crying, he thinks to himself. "Okay, okay, I'm sorry." He says in a soothing voice. However, Lilac starts crying harder after hearing him.
"If you stop crying, I'll be your friend, Lilac." Adler says finally. "And you can call me Cloudy."
Lilac wipes her tears away. "Really?" She says between choked up sobs.
"Really."
"Promise me!"
"Here," Adler says while holding out his hand. "I pinky promise. If I lie, I'll cut off my pinky."
"No! Promise on a more important finger so I know you won't ever lie."
Adler laughs. "Ok fine. I'll promise on my index finger." Adler says as he holds out his index finger. Satisfied, Lilac holds out her index finger too.

Lilac, exhausted from crying, leans her head on Adler's shoulder. Adler blinks in surprise and turns to look at the girl. However, she is already asleep. He smiles secretly as he gently rests his head on her's. They both doze off into a morning slumber, surrounded by the grass, trees, and flowers.

Lilac awakes first, sleepily rubbing her eyes. She looks around to see Adler right next to her. She looks up and the sky and sees a beautiful sight. She shakes Adler awake. "Cloudy! Look at the sky!"
Adler rubs his eyes too and is greeted with the beautiful sky, filled with hues of orange, pink, and lavender.
"Oh no!" Adler says suddenly.
"What's wrong Cloudy?" Lilac asks.
"I was supposed to be back home for dinner." Adler says, standing up and brushing the grass from his pants. "Bye Lilac, I have to go."
"Okay, bye Cloudy." Lilac says, waving her hand enthusiastically. "Next time, lets do something more fun!"
Adler smiles. "Lilac... Doing anything with you is fun." He thinks to himself as he walks through the meadow and back to civilization.
