Capítulo 1: How it all began - Prologue

Day 1

"Distance means so little when someone means so much." – ...

The day began as our protagonist Luke began to look through the search engine for quotes. he found the quote which would change his love. As a 17-year-old boy luke wasn't a bright kid as throughout his entire life he was alone. wait alone meaning he didn't have anyone to share or befriend which intake turned him into a full-fledged introvert and shut-in. But there was a huge problem as at the end of his last day in school he was about to be graduated. He looked around at the campus to see many of his classmates being happy, shouting and some even kissing. He was standing alone accepting his fate that he would be alone forever.

" Eternal curse of solitude huh "... He said whilst walking as it was a concept he created when he was in the tenth grade as he was always alone so he thought he was under a curse which made him alone throughout his childhood and will keep him alone in his adulthood. Luke wasn't afraid but he was sad because each day he feels the pain of being alone as it's sort of like getting suffocated as he didn't have anyone to talk with. As a human being, he wished to vent everything he had been keeping inside as there is no one to talk to. Well, he can talk to others but he doesn't know how to as that's the most difficult thing when socializing as well as looks also matter especially when it comes to teenagers but luke never cared about how he looked in public as he was sort of an old fashioned guy which made many despise him. Of course, he has felt some romantic feelings for some girls but they all turned him down because he wasn't a good-looking person and the girls would outright tell him that he looks bad hence the rejection. His parents didn't care about him as all they needed was a workhorse son as they kept on forcing him to only study as being first is better than having friends. These all are the reasons why he ended up like this.

At the end of his academic days, the graduation ceremony was finally over. everyone was happy as many were even planning which College they should attend. Many couples were planning to have dates and spend time together as some even thinking about finally taking their virginity. Luke well he ignored them all as he slowly walked out from the academy while looking at his certificate. He wasn't a bright child as he got only medium marks which means he won't get into good College as to join college you must either be rich or having high marks. he was neither of them so he knew he is going to get a small job and just live alone but unknown to him everything was about to change.

Luke was born in a middle-class inter-caste family as his mother was a Christian while his father was a Hindu. He as a boy was given a chance to choose his religion but due to the sheer force from his father, he took Hinduism as his belief while keeping the name his mother gave him which was Luke. He slowly arrived at the Bus Waiting Station as he sat down on a bench. He took out his phone and entered the world of social media as he has somewhat the skill to chat well and type well so he wasn't an outright loner or a loser in the world of the internet which made it easy for him to traverse here than in the real world. He opened Facebook as looked for some new messages but none were there as many Group conversations were active but they were busy ranting about other things. He slowly stared into his friend's request but nothing new so he just checked Group pages to see if there are some new Group conversations available. But something picked his interest as he saw someone being on the active list someone he thought he knew. He immediately tapped the person account and messaged Hello it to see if he gets a response. His bus has finally arrived so he slowly stood up as putting the phone back in his pocket then entered the bus. Due to unlock no empty seats were available so he has no choice but to stand as he just stared out through the window but suddenly his phone vibrates as there was a notification. He slowly took it out to see that the person has replied to him as to his surprise it's not who he thought it was but someone who will change his fate.

Upon Looking at the message he was quite suprised as the person used an emoticon and stated sorry — " • — •) sorry "... To his surprise he immediately scrolled up to see that he had chatted this person months ago as the person was a girl who tried to flirt with him. She sends him sorry thinking that he was there for revenge or something like that but he wasn't as he thought it was a Group conversation creator he knew from his past. He well took the chat to normal as telling her that it's okay and don't worry about it. He immediately replied to her that " Don't worry am not here to take revenge - It's been some time "... Well his words did calm the chat down as she replied with a not so normal reply " • — •) want potatoes "... He was happy as this person did reply rather than ignore him as he tried to take control of the chat by sending her this " °-°) Uhm potatoes won't be able to bribe me or make me forget what you did to me ".. welp that utterly shocked her as she tried her best to turn the chat away from the past.

Day after day they both began to chat as first it was just a small friendship that turned into a large and strong relationship but as their relationship grew and they began to learn about themselves. To his shocking surprise, the partner he gained was a Filipina girl from the Philippines as they both began to share their past, their daily life events and pictures. Her name was Lily as Luke knew this was her the one destined for him but the distance was painful as he was an Indian while his lover was a Filipina. He would always try his hard to give her an engaging chat as they were both having some great time together even though it's the world of social media. After some months later everything was practically normal as he was watching the television about some news he got a call which took...

" Hello.. what is it babe, did something happen - hello " — He said whilst watching the television as he slightly heard her sniff and immediately shouted as if her family has hurt her as She has an abusive family. He knew it but he can't do anything as the problem was she was four years younger than him so she was too young for him to even take her. He slowly stood up and stared at the wall as he immediately punched it as he promised himself that one day he will give her redemption.

Their relationship had some problems as distance made it difficult as both yearn for each other's support and presence. Due to this both were suspicious especially thinking that one is not suited for the other due to distance. But luke would always try his best to calm her down and make her think that she is wrong as one day they both will be together and this will end but to his response when she is depressed she doesn't appear online for days and even think or try to break up with luke as her core belief was that she isn't suited for him even though she loved him too much.

But things began to go bad as one day she told him that she was about to disappear. It was due to her having an argument with her family which made them relocate her to somewhere else. after realising she wouldn't be able to chat with him she decided to do this but luke was truly in love with her as they haven't yet met but have already dreamt of being together. He screamed and cried while telling her that without her his life would be incomplete. but she was adamant that he should forget about her but he promised her that he won't and he will come to find her. That's when they promised each other that one day after 6 years that he will reach the Philippines and get her. As she promised that she'll wait even if they both don't chat nor have any contact as it was a challenge as if he can hunt her down in a foreign nation. As the pact was made and Six years to go till he gets her.

This changed his life as now he had someone waiting for him far far away from him. He chose this as his fate and destiny to find his love no matter what happens, no matter what obstacles may come in front of him that he will surpass all and reach her as that's the promise he made.
