"You don't need to overdo things for Kate or me," Angelica said while cutting Kate's homemade chicken steak and enjoying it.

"It's okay, honey," Charlie replied casually. "I do it because she's there for you, taking care of you... I've never minded you or her using my money. Don't forget that I'm rich," he continued, then ate the chicken steak.

Angelica smiled thinly. "You are indeed rich... Well... You're perfect..."

Charlie blushed immediately.

Angelica took a deep breath, her hand holding the knife and fork, her eyes fixed on Charlie, who looked better now. She remembered the moment in the truck.

"Do you know who I arrived here with?" she asked.

Charlie nodded. "You came here with a truck that passed not far from my mansion."

Angelica furrowed her brow. "How did you know?"
