“I’ll come back with the rental for my stuff,” Jamie said and Jim pulled out of the parking lot.

Reed came out the door, eyes blazing. “My boy heard what you said to Jamie. I’d fire your ass but you’d blame the kid for that too. All of this, and I mean all of it, is on your head. My boy is going to stay with Jamie until the police can get a unit over there. He’ll take turns with Brian and Bear is hiring a private security firm to watch over them.”

Reed stepped closer. “Indiscreet has a liberal health insurance policy. You need to see someone to get over your anger issues and I’m going to make it a requirement of your employment. You make good money here, Bull, over six figures. Where the hell are you going to find another job like this?”

Bull hung his head. “I can’t help it. I see the kid and he makes me see red. And even worse, I want to fuck him, but I’ll deny I ever said that.”
