/"Why is mom not back yet dad? She never stays out this long,/" Chris frowned.

/"Um…/" Michael cleared his throat, /"I forgot to tell you, she traveled for a meeting, it was impromptu and she didn’t have the time to tell you guys./"

/"But… she often arranges for us to go to grandma Vanessa or grandma Angelica before traveling,/" Chris stated.

/"Yeah, but like I said, it was impromptu, she didn’t know she would be traveling. And she did mention to take you to any of your grandmothers. So who do you want to go to?/" he opened the cupboard and got noodles, it was the fastest he could make so that they can go to bed.

/"When would she be back?/" Sapphire asked.

/"She didn’t say but I believe it would be soon,/" he smiled to them, before getting a pot and putting water in it. He placed it on the cooker and put the noodles in it.

/"Can we stay with you dad?/" Chris asked, /"if we leave now, you will be all alone./"
