Capítulo 135: He is too silent

The space station that Robin had opened in the laptop was a DLC version of the game Anno 2205 where one could make his or her own space station and connect the space station to an Ark. The Ark was constant for both Anno 2070 and 2205. Only in 2205, an Ark would connect to space station via space elevators.

Yes, space elevators. It was a little skeletal elevator that could only hold five people and a small amount of freight at a time, not a large elevator like that in Warhammer 40k. The Ark didn't have to be submerged in water or tethered to the land, which was the fundamental benefit of the space elevators. Therefore, there wouldn't be a need for extensive construction for this.

Robin brought out the space station and just pushed the small space station that was in his hand away from him. The hand-sized toy space station floated far away from him and, in a flash, transformed into a massive, circular building that appeared to be made of glass.

The space stations walls were actually made of solar panels that could generate more than enough energy to make the space station functional.

"Eve, JARVIS.. Are you in?" On his comms, Robin talked.

"Yes, sir."

"Affirmative, sir."

"Let's go." said Robin. As soon as that was done, Sigret and Robin took off for the dock of the enormous space station that was just aimlessly drifting there. Even though it was positioned, it wasn't really in an orbit and would soon go out of alignment if it wasn't deployed properly. The enormous circular dock, which had been positioned on one of the space station's many sides, opened. They didn't have to manually open the airlock thanks to JARVIS and Eve.

After sealing off the airlock, and opening the door they were welcomed by the Core of the space station. The Core served as the central command center and social hub of the station. As they entered inside the Core, there was huge holographic display of woman's face. The face didn't have any color and was just as the same color as the holographic blue color.

This was EVE. The one who controlled the Ark. And on the side was a jumbled form of a complex neuron system that was based on circuit connections. This was JARVIS.

"It's nice to see you in real JARVIS, EVE."

"The pleasure is all yours, sir." - EVE

"Welcome to the first authentic space station of Earth." — JARVIS.

"JARVIS, activate the shield system to prevent damage from space debris to the space station."

"On it Sir." -JARVIS.

"And also begin the space station's rotational motion. We need the gravity here." said Robin. The space station soon began to slowly spin on its axis after being in a steady position with no movement. The space station would need some time to build up the necessary speed to provide itself artificial gravity. It was essential that they did this because the Anno 2205 game lacked Star Citizen's gravity technology.

The fact that this space station will never serve as the main one was another justification for not integrating the artificial gravity technology. After everything was resolved, such space stations would be built quickly at a number of locations on Earth, serving as a stepping stone to larger space stations that would be launched into orbit later.

Meanwhile, Robin and Sigret took a tour of this enormous space station as it began to take off. The Core was huge and the walls were adorned with large viewports that offer breathtaking views of nearby celestial bodies and the vastness of space. Even after being her multiple times now, Robin was in awe of the sights outside.

"There was a press conference few minutes ago in USA about the furor our country has been raising recently."

"Oh! What did he say?" Robin enquired.

"He handled it extremely diplomatically. He declared that this was a joint effort and supported North Korea." Sigret made a report.

"That's nice of him. How is the response from other countries?" Robin enquired.

"Of course they are afraid. But the wheels are turning slowly. The Venezuelan dictator wanted to run away, but the Ghost came and arrested him. Soon, this nation would also be taken over by us." said Sigret.

"How are the captured spies doing? Lydia must be a handful." Robin recalled the incident in which he saw her naked and she was even confident about it. He allowed her and the others to join the Nod out of pity.

"She is fine Certainly superior to Julius. The Captain gave Julius one small squadron and that squadron fucked it up. We were fortunate to have javelins. He had already been returned to the base by Novus' founder." said Sigret.

"Hmm. If he is that ineffective, demote him. He may not be able to lead, but he might be able to work for Ghost Corps."

They strolled around while they conversed. From the Core, branching corridors led to different sections of the space station. One corridor took to the Living Quarters, where astronauts and crew members could reside during their missions. The Living Quarters consisted of compact, yet comfortable, personal quarters featuring ergonomic furniture, virtual entertainment systems, and small windows that offered glimpses of the cosmos.

Another corridor led to the Laboratory, a state-of-the-art research facility where scientists culd conduct experiments and develop advanced technologies. The Laboratory was filled with high-tech equipment, holographic displays that were connected to quantum computers in the space station.

Adjacent to the Laboratory was the Production Wing, a sprawling area dedicated to manufacturing and fabrication which had 3D Printers and high end robotics that could easily create modules required for the space station and other reasons.

"This is more massive than I thought." Robin remarked as he moved along. Everything was undamaged and in perfect condition. Even the most basic space station that Robin had brought was 100 times better than the countries had currently in space.

Some observatories and satellites from other nations were finally able to see the space station that Robin had hauled out, and it once more caused a stir when world leaders learned that their thermosphere had another enormous structure that resembled a space station.

Naturally, the leaders of the world requested that the Space Agencies contact the administration to inquire about the new structure that was located above North Korea. They thought it might be aliens. The person in charge of organizing this, Myrene, simply responded by saying that the first space station to be connected to Earth by a space elevator would be North Korea's new space station.

This made the scientists who were reading the email go into frenzy. Many of the scientists quickly gathered their bags and left for home. They needed to reach North Korea and enquire the information by themselves.

They had already heard of artificial gravity and now a space elevator? For the scientists, the temptation was too much.

"Do you remember that guy David that you met in the desert when you took care of the local militia?"

"That Academi guy? Yes. What of him?" As they got closer to the last part of the space station, Robin questioned.

"He is in North Korea and actually asked of you. Even if he doesn't know you, he indirectly asked for you. He had recently finished his space flight training." said Sigret.

"Oh! So he thought the guy who told him of space belonged to North Korea? Quite intelligent this guy is. Bring him to space. If he performs well, we can take him as our copilot since he has military training. "

"Will let the administration know about that. What about Russia? The President is behaving erratically."

"Wild? How?" Robin was interested.

"He had been very silent. All of the world leaders are in huge anxiety but this guy is too silent even though he knows that his name is on the list and he would be probably be taken into custody. He had been acting as if nothing is wrong." Sigret made a report. Robin grew quiet.

"Watch out for him. If he takes any drastic steps, stop him. The nuclear sites have been secured, right?"

"Yes, all the locations," With pride in her voice, Sigret said. She had actively sought out and identified every location and submarine that had nuclear warheads, and she had dispatched Novus hackers to keep constant watch over them.

In the last section of the space station, there was the Hydroponics Garden, a self-contained ecosystem where food and plants were grown to sustain the station's inhabitants. This lush, green area was illuminated by artificial sunlight, and rows of vertical gardens provided a serene and calming environment amidst the harshness of space and the Power Plant, a high-tech facility responsible for generating and distributing energy throughout the station using radiation from the sun itself.

In addition to these key areas, the small space station also included facilities such as a Medical Bay, Recreation Center, Communications Hub, and Maintenance Hangar.

Capítulo 136: The most polluted city of Russia

Watching and touring the whole space station, it was surreal for Robin. What would the other sophisticated space stations be like if this inferior space station was already so amazing?

"Has it aligned to the Ark on the Yellow Sea?" After becoming content with the surroundings, Robin enquired. Although the space station was modest in comparison, it was equipped with everything needed for human survival. Its own plantation and crops were present. For those who lived there, there was more than enough food available.

"Yes, sir." The JARVIS.

"Start the construction." Ordered by Robin.

"Estimating the amount of time needed to complete the building. Estimated time to finish the construction if only human species did the work - 5 months. Estimated time to finish if humans and the alien civilization joined hands - 2 months." -EVE.

"Oh! Then request Novus' assistance in building space elevators." said Robin. JARVIS and EVE took note and it would soon be passed to the Novus. The Novus had been very busy lately with the changes going on with the work.

However, they had more than enough bases to create the additional Constructors needed to finish building the first space elevator on Earth.

The medications that LabCorps had finally acquired had entered the market, and when individuals learned of this news, it completely blew their minds. The Miracle drug was a huge success. Following FDA approval, this new drug went viral.

At first the doctors on any accidental emergencies used them. It stopped internal bleeding, fractured bones, gashes, and large cuts, but more crucially for America, it assisted those involved in gun violence.

The doctors' group was compelled to work with the police after the drug's first month of instant success. Every police officer was permitted to carry a supply of these medications, which they could use to treat both themselves and the people they fired their weapons at. This was the initial adjustment that had individuals smitten with the drug.

After all, why not. 'You got shot? Here, take the medicine and heal. By the way, you are under arrest and have the right to remain silent.' 'Gang vs Police war? After the shootout is done, serving the half dead ones with the medicine.'

But there were also folks who were unhappy in these circumstances. specifically the insurance industry. It would appear favorable at first because businesses wouldn't be required to pay for any damages. But it had a serious drawback.

The drawback was that after the drug entered the market, individuals began to gradually stop applying for accidental insurance since they didn't want to shell out such a large sum of money to these businesses when they could simply take a pill and be done with it.

Companies' revenue was rapidly declining, which paralyzed them and their lobbyist clients. All they could do was go up to the President.

"Mr. President, we cannot continue in this manner. Our economy will crash if we allow the drugs to drain the people's funds. "- The top lobbyist.

"Mr. President, you must realize. We don't need another pain right now with the growing inflation rates, so if we don't stop the medicine, financing for a lot of crucial projects might end." - Second lobbyist.

"I'll see what I can do, but the FDA has approved the medicine just like you, therefore it falls under their purview. If you believe that you are being given an unfair advantage, you can file a lawsuit." stated the President. Every President dreaded having to deal with it during their terms in office. Fights between two groups. In a way both of the groups were important and a necessity.

These folks were at a loss for words since they were aware that they could never go to court because if they did, the public would rip them to shreds, and even if they did, the FDA had the support of influential individuals. Some of these individuals were on their side as well, but they were absent from the President's meeting.

Remember that this was taking place prior to the summit in Pyongyang, thus the President was unaware of the location of the drug's true source at the time. After the President came back from Pyongyang, he had already announced internally that the medicine technology and the med pods that were available in North Korea would be shared soon, across the country.

Naturally, these lobbyists returned and voiced their complaints. The President responded by saying.

"Just shut up! Have you noticed how they are encroaching on other nations? Do you want to be taken away by them too?" Yelled the President. In their presence, he had completely lost all of his composure and charm. He had been experiencing anxiousness for the previous few days, and now these folks had simply appeared to add to his misery.

"Mister President. We are the world's most potent countries. Why should we be afraid of those Koreans? We engaged them in combat during the Korean War." As many others did, he believed that this was an overreaction, someone stated.

"You took part in the Korean War? None of your grandfathers or fathers participated in the conflict. And we WERE the world's most powerful country. Do you think North Korea would have been allowed to dance in our land if we had enough power. So just shut the fuck up and get lost. Some of you are already operating on borrowed time." Everyone tensed up in response to the President's comments, which he uttered. They wanted to question more, but when the Secret Service arrived, they were essentially expelled.

The same thing was happening in other countries as well, not only at the White House. Since the FDA had already approved it, other countries rapidly followed. While Robin and his buddies were running around throughout the past few months, Sigret and Myrene were busy handling this matter.

They went and initially presented the drugs to the different countries. Naturally, the lobbyists who owned stock in insurance companies and the pharmaceutical industry didn't like that and expressed their displeasure by protesting and even making veiled threats. Only to be exposed to the police of their wrong doings with evidence or threatened in return by showing up at their homes.

The lobbyists were humiliated at the time and intended to avenge the President's words, but they were hauled out of the White House by police only moments later. They at last realized what the President had meant when he said that their days were numbered.

Of course, the medication has its own restrictions. A person who had lost limbs or an organ that was irreparably damaged could not be made to heal by the medication. However, the folks were appreciative of anything they received for such a modest cost.

Overall, there was a significant covert revamp of the world's key institutions, and even those who didn't use the internet much to stay in touch with the outside world could sense that things were beginning to shift.

October 20, 2023

Since North Korea began its global cleanup drive, many days had gone. Crimes had abruptly decreased around the world, narcotics were quickly disappearing from the streets, all rapists and pedophiles had been apprehended and imprisoned while awaiting speedy trials, and other societal changes had also taken place.

Not all was happy for the nations, though. The issues started when many senators, governors, ministers, and important dignitaries were also detained. The social media was used to produce evidence for every single arrest so that people could judge for themselves, but zealots couldn't merely take in the facts.

They believed that the nations were deceiving them and it was just the oppression of the ruling government, not seeing the fact that the people being arrested also belong to the same ruling government. For the vast majority of people on earth, it might be quiet, but for those in charge of politics, it was a nightmare.

Once more, North Korea entered the picture in this situation. Novus and Nod were constantly on the lookout for any surprise fanatic attacks on the police. They would enter right away and deal with anyone who sought to stir up trouble. Anesthetic bullets were used to shoot them.

Of course, the Novus and Nod units encountered numerous difficulties while achieving it. All sorts of actions were taken to prevent the ministers from being detained, including throwing mocktails at them and firing weapons at them. But in the end, technology won out. For the previous ten days, this had been occurring all across the planet.

Norlisk, Russia.

An opulent train was making its way to one of the world's most polluted cities. The Russian President and a few ministers were on the train. His pool of ministers had dwindled down in the last few days due to arrests. There weren't many of them remaining.

"Sir, we will be in the city of Norlisk in half an hour. Please arrange yourself." One of the guards saluted the President of Russia and said. The President nodded but continued watching the scenery from the window.

As the train's rhythmic cadence carried them closer to the city of Norilsk, Russia, the President's gaze fixed upon the world outside their window. Stark and austere, the landscape appeared cloaked in a wintry grandeur, its vastness stretching to the horizon. Towering chimneys pierced the sky, belching forth plumes of smoke that mingled with the frosty air. Grim and industrial, the city emerged from the depths of the Arctic, an imposing testament to human resilience amidst unforgiving surroundings.
