"Mrs. Coope?" Eve slowly muttered her name as she looked at the elderly woman who smiled at her. Somehow, she was still finding it hard to believe this was the same person.
"It's me, Evelyn," Mrs. Coope finally confirmed, and Eve ran to her, throwing her arms around her as she sobbed.
"Hush, child, don't cry," Mrs. Coope murmured, brushing her hand over Eve's hair as Eve rested on her shoulder. Her body shuddered lightly as she cried. She hadn't expected to see her again, not after all the months that had gone by.
Eve finally pulled away to stare at the woman, who also had a sheen of tears on her eyelids. "I thought it was over for you when you were sent here, but it's really a blessing. You should thank the King; we're here because of him," Mrs. Coope told her.
Sebastian, Eve thought to herself. He had helped her a lot, and she hoped to be able to repay his favors.
