Eve quickly started walking toward the door to meet them, but someone appeared before her, blocking her path. It was a man, dressed in a black coat, with a white shirt tucked into his black pants. His hair was brown, combed to his right with a few strands covering his right eye.
"Good day, Lady Evelyn," he said with a bright grin, his eyes gawking at her as he bent low and kissed the back of her hand. Eve forced a smile at him, trying to walk away, but the man wasn't ready to budge from her path.
It turned into an awkward situation when she tried to pull her hand away from him, but he held on tighter, his finger rubbing her palm.
"What are you doing?" Eve frowned as she continued to pull her hand away from him.
"I have noticed you're a beautiful woman. I've never seen a creature's woman more beautiful than the vampiress," he said.
"Thank you for the compliment, Mister," Eve managed to reply through gritted teeth.
