Eve tried to appear normally surprised as a light frown appeared on her forehead.

"What are you doing here, King Earl?" She asked as if she didn't know why the man was there in her room, with light from the only opened window illuminating half of the room.

"I thought to pay you a visit now that you're finally alone and away from the kids," Earl replied, keeping his grin as he walked towards her while Eve remained rooted to her spot.

Outside the room, Magdalene appeared in front of the door and made to open the door to catch Earl by surprise when Eve's words filtered into her mind.

"My kids! Please help me look for the twins, he's talking like he had done something to them," she pleaded, and quickly Magdalene ran on light toes out of the chambers. Eve breathed a sigh of relief internally, knowing her little vampires would be safe.
