That wasn't what she had intended to say, but she was too embarrassed to voice what was really on her mind. She caught a fleeting smile on Sebastian's lips, which quickly vanished.
"You won't be able to train on a full stomach. Once you're done with your shooting practice, we can go eat, okay?" he proposed.
Eve nodded and turned away from him, picking another arrow by herself. She wasn't truly hungry, so she knew she would make it through the training. If she focused on her aim and targets, she could overcome her feelings before the session ended.
She notched the arrow on the bow and drew the string to her ear. Aiming at the target and closing one of her eyes, she tilted her hand downward slightly and released the arrow. It swooshed through the air, hitting the mark. She didn't need to resort to magic after all, Eve thought, grinning to herself.
