Iris still had no idea what Lord Kieran felt about their mating bond. Since she and Chrysanthe were learning magic together, they were able to find out what the mating ruine on her back entailed. The mating rune was supposed to establish a bond between her and the demon lord, allowing each other to sense each other's welfare.

"Can you sense if Lord Kieran is nearby? I'm afraid of what could await us in Misty Moon Woodlands." Chrysanthe asked her.

Iris shook her head. She couldn't feel anything nor was she sure if the bond truly existed between her and the demon lord. If it wasn't for the mark that was left on her back, she would have doubted that she was even mated to Lord Kieran.

"The Queen said that Mel will come with us tomorrow. Should we talk to her and ask for her opinion?" She asked in return.
