A blast from Yuri caught Killian off guard and struck him. He was hit right on the chest, but he managed to lessen the impact in the nick of time. Regardless of her current condition, the demon mage was determined not to hand over Amelia to him.

Meanwhile, Amelia had totally lost her will and was acting like a mindless demon, attacking the person she deemed the strongest in her presence. Her movements were almost comparable to those of a regular demon, but Killian knew they were exerting a great toll on her weakened body. He couldn't bear to see her like this, and surely Iris would be upset if she saw her best friend in this condition. 

He untucked his black bat-like wings to put a good distance between him and his opponents. As he assessed the situation, Killian realized his opponents were no match for his strength and speed. However, he couldn't let his guard down, as he knew that Amelia's mindless attacks could potentially hit him.
