"It's not over yet!"
Shirousagi summoned more flying hands from his back and soared towards Eiji.
"Don't you have any other attack methods? If this is all you've got, maybe I overestimated the power scale of this world..."
Eiji stood his ground, the flying hands around him unable to penetrate Infinity.
Initially cautious not to attract the attention of the world's top experts, Eiji reconsidered upon hearing Shirousagi claim to be the Director of the First National Bureau of the Kingdom of Lydia. If that's the case, his strength must be top-tier, right?
In that case, Eiji had no reason to fear anyone if Shirousagi was considered an expert in hunting witches.
"Let's end this boring fight. You've given me plenty of valuable information."
With his decision made, all the flying hands surrounding him burned into ashes. Then, he advanced towards Shirousagi step by step.
"Uh-oh, it seems I've encountered a troublesome witch. If I had known he was this strong, I should have brought SDAM-2."
Shirousagi couldn't help but take a few steps back, regretting his impulsive actions.
Witches became helpless when the Kingdom of Lydia's army attacked, activating a device called the SDAM-2 Magical Photon Inhibitor, nullifying magic.
Without magic, witches were nothing more than weak women. Of course, some elite soldiers could confront witches even when using magic.
As the Director of the First National Bureau, Shirousagi was one of those elites. He had hunted Witchs countless times even without SDAM-2.
Therefore, he never carried SDAM-2 when traveling.
"Damn it! You win this time, but in our next meeting, I'll slaughter you!"
Knowing he had no chance of winning, Shirousagi turned and fled without caring about his subordinates.
Eiji frowned, he hadn't expected the other party to be a coward.
"Well, faced with a life-or-death situation, running is the most rational option for the majority of people."
Even so, he wouldn't let Shirousagi escape. He didn't want the other party to convey intelligence about him to the Kingdom of Lydia.
Eiji wasn't afraid, but he didn't want trouble to keep coming his way.
He came to this world to learn methods to make himself stronger, not to defend human rights against witches.
Eiji raised two fingers, and a push motion centered on him formed an imaginary black substance resembling marbles.
Aiming at Shirousagi 500 meters away, Eiji unleashed his attack.
"Cursed Technique Reversal: Red."
*Whoosh*
Red flew like a bullet fired from a gun, following Shirousagi and piercing through his body.
"What—"
Before Shirousagi could react, the extraordinary pushing force obliterated his proud cyborg body as if it were fragile.
*BOOM BOOM BOOM*
Then, Red produced shockwaves that shattered building windows within a 200-meter radius.
Eiji teleported in front of the fallen Shirousagi, with a battered body.
"You monster... The Kingdom of Lydia will hunt you to the ends of the world... Ha ha ha..."
Shirousagi with his last breath, left a threat before dying.
It wasn't an empty threat. As a cyborg, his consciousness was connected to the Kingdom of Lydia's network. In other words, his battle had been witnessed by the First National Bureau.
"If they dare to come, the result will only be death." Eiji said nonchalantly.
Lifting his foot, he crushed Shirousagi's head into an unrecognizable mess.
"Just because I avoid trouble doesn't mean I'm afraid of facing it."
Putting his hand in his pants pocket, Eiji walked to the parking lot, leaving the chaotic battlefield due to the use of Red.
.....
Desert.
Riding a motorcycle, Eiji crossed the desert again. But this time was different; he had a map to the Kingdom of Lydia.
The reason for going to the Kingdom of Lydia was to meet witches.
From the information he gathered, when the army hunted witches, not all of them were killed on the spot; some were taken to the Kingdom of Lydia for public execution.
This would enhance the prestige of the Kingdom of Lydia as the strongest nation in the world.
Knowing that there might be witches held captive, Eiji set the Kingdom of Lydia as his next destination rather than searching for Witches hiding elsewhere. After all, Witches would hide and keep their identities secret, making them hard to find.
So, Eiji chose the Kingdom of Lydia, which considered him an enemy, instead of searching for Witches hiding somewhere unknown.
Even if the Magical Photon Inhibitor affected him and nullified his Cursed Energy, he wasn't afraid at all. Even without using Limitless Technique, his superhuman physique couldn't be underestimated.
"Don't disappoint me, witches." Eiji murmured.
He hoped the Witches had something useful for him.
.....
The distance between the city of Mamuta and the capital of the Kingdom of Lydia was 120 kilometers.
On the second day, Eiji crossed the desert and suddenly found himself in a barren land. Except for cacti, there were no other plants, not even grass.
"Human?"
While Eiji was riding his motorcycle, listening to music with Bluetooth earphones, the Six Eyes providing a sight range of several kilometers, spotted a woman and a young boy in the distance.
The Six Eyes detected an unknown energy flow in both the woman and the boy. Especially the woman had an abundant unknown energy.
If Eiji had to compare, the amount of unknown energy in the woman was equivalent to the Cursed Energy possessed by an average Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer.
"Could she be a Witch?"
Eiji was confident in his 80% accurate guess. Moreover, he didn't sense unknown energy in humans in Mamuta City or cyborgs like Shirousagi.
How could he miss the chance to meet a Witch coincidentally?
The motorcycle accelerated faster towards the two.
When the distance between both parties was a few hundred meters, Eiji's presence was noticed by the other party.
Thanks to the Heavenly Restriction granting superhuman physical abilities, Eiji's five senses exceeded those of an ordinary human, and his hearing was so sharp that he could hear the conversation between the woman and the boy even though they were still separated by several hundred meters.
"Chloe, someone is coming."
The boy recognized the motorcycle as a specialized unit vehicle hunting Witches.
"Let me handle it."
Holding a feather pen, the boy's sharp gaze was full of hostility.
"No. You still lack experience."
"Chloe!"
Ignoring the boy's complaint, the woman walked forward, her casual expression replaced by seriousness.
On the other side, Eiji detected their hostility towards him. In an instant, he understood the reason.
Both of them might consider him a soldier trying to capture Witches. After all, the motorcycle he rode belonged to the Kingdom of Lydia's army.
Despite the misunderstanding, he had no intention of explaining and continued approaching the two.
Eiji wanted to test how strong the species called Witches really were.
