A very nice thing to do for those who wish to become authors. Don't know if this will be read but would you be willing to write on how to start a story? I have the story line all planned out but don't know how to write a starting point. Additional Suggestions for topics: - How to write a filler - How to write a synopsis
Absolute trash advice, as expected by Chinese trash authors. Unbelievable that people give this more than 1 start. If you follow any "advice" from this your novel will end up as a terrible mess. Look for some real advice from good authors.
Guys. This book has given me a reason to read Japanese light novels again. Just a warning~~~ Also "The Results From When I Time Leaped to My Second Year of High School and Confessed to the Teacher I Liked at the Time" Is good. Like diabetes.
Thank you very much for this guide. It helped a lot and has many practical instructions. I hope you increase the update rate since a lot of us are currently writing our novels and need this as soon as possible. There are certain topics I hope you'd address in the next chapters. One problem that is bugging me is how can I do plot twist, I hope that my novel is different from the average one and I don't want it to be like the reader would expect. I also have a problem with the number of arcs in the story. I made a basic outline for the whole plot and feel that my novel is too short. Should I add some side stories?

read out of curiosity, but kinda really bad advice. it's true that this type of writing can capture the attention of readers, but it's usually not the type of attention one would want. The suggestions on what to do with the MC would make MC far to Mary/Gary Sue, which isn't very pleasant to read. It also holes up and coming writers into holes and bad habits, not allowing them to explore while they're still growing. Just don't recommend following the advice listed, that's all.
Best book I've read on webnovel. 5.0! Writing style is consistent and the plot is full of twists and turns. Can't wait to see how the MC gets out of the tricky situation.

thanks for this kind of guide. but when it say about the point of character leveling up like weapon or status or skill, i find (i think some) author like forgeting the old skill or old method he use to kill the enemies or the weapon like poison and the mc almost got dragged to the dead.

If you have an insane amount of dedication, free time, and willpower, then the advice given in the early chapters will be immensely helpful to you. If you strive to write a poorly written, generic Chinese cultivation novel of the sort, this guide is perfect for you. All in all, this has some decent advice on basic writing strategies that absolute beginners or bad writers may need to hear. It's clearly formed around the strategy of appealing to the masses with a formulaic, and generic story based around wish-fulfillment however. This guide is absolutely not for everyone, nor should it be taken as solid advice on writing a "good" story. There was an error in punctuation on the very first line of this book, not sentence, line. Finally!! The Sequal to Book of Answers! I'd thought it'd been forgotten about. The original Book of Answers ended on such a cliff note. The drama and suspense was killing me! The author just had to drag out that last battle scene. And the way at the end he slowly detailed every action of the protagonist and his 41 female harem in their... I'm not going to spoil it for those who haven't read it yet. It's worth a read. Every word of it was gold. I just wish that this one will keep up with the hype that Book of Answers had.
