Capítulo 36: Practical Exam: Momo & Shoto VS Aizawa(2)
"I've thought through a special operation!" Momo said as a little blush appeared on her cheeks.
"A special operation?" Shoto echoed.
"Yes, I've been planning this since the beggining. A plan that will defeat Mr. Aizawa!"
"Okay, just say it to me already."
Now she was back in the game. A slight boost of confidence came to her eyes. They both ran away from Aizawa together. I'm the real world, they wouldn't stand a chance against him. But this is just an exam, so they have the choice fo run away without having to fight back.
"Mr. Aizawa's eyes have become unstable ever since the USJ attack." Momo said as they ran away.
Oh, that incident. A while ago, the League of Villain attacked this exact class at the USJ, a place where rescue simulations take place for training. It stemmed like the League was trying to kill All Might, since he was the one who came to the rescue. I only found after the incident had happened. It was all over the news. Kisu didn't tell me about it either, for some god damn reason.
My first thought was why did Shigaraki go after the final boss at level one? He didn't have any good item equipped and his stats were all low. He didn't stand a chance against All Might.
But Momo was right. Aizawa's eyes had been unstable ever since USJ. After all, he tried protecting his students and ended up being injured in the end.
"Unstable?" Shoto confirmed. "You man back at the USJ?"
"Yes," Momo answered as they kept running. "For now, we have to stay out of his line of vision. It's just a matter of time. We can win!"
Momo is correct. One like Aizawa is pretty good at keeping his eyes open, but there will be that one moment an interval of time when he blinks before he can look at them again. If that's what she's basing her plan off of, then she's pretty good.
As they continued running, Shoto saw that he could now use his ice. Just a second after the ice appeared, he let loose a giant wall of ice, blocking Aizawa's view of them.
"I blocked him with the wall the moment my Quirk came back," Shoto said as he used his fire to warm himself. "Now we can use our Quirks. Tell me the rest of the plan while we-"
Shoto looked over to see Momo holding her clothes open, revealing her chest as she made a scarf. Immediately, Shoto looked away again, looking a little awkward.
"Mr. Aizawa's weapon?" He asked.
"Yes." Momo answered. "I don't know exactly what material it's made up of or how it's made, so it's not exactly the same. But I've made my own version with a certain material woven into it. We have to keep damage to a minimum since we're in a suburb. And Mr. Aizawa moves quickly with his restraint weapon. This is my plan."
"Why isn't Mr. Aizawa going after them?" Ochaco asked.
"He might've overused his eyes," Izuku answered. "Momo probably came up with a plan to pick at that weakness. It would make sense."
It sure does. It seems like they're trying to capture with while trying to stay hidden. They do have a better chance at capturing him then running away, depending on the plan.
"I'm not sure if this is has a 100 percent chance of beating Mr. Aizawa, but it's the best we've got." Momo said as she looked at the catapult holding the copy of Aizawa's scarf.
"It'll work," Shoto said with confidence. "It's your plan, it has to."
Momo nodded and held a cloak up. "Let's go."
They put the clock on and slipped away from the ice wall. Sooner then later, Aizawa noticed them and started to follow them. Maybe they figured if they couldn't be seen, they could slip away without Aizawa catching them.
Aizawa soon dove into attack, his scarf wrapping around what he thought was Momo and Shoto. He pulled the black cloth and saw Momo holding a mannequin. They used mannequins for their upper bodies.
Momo was squatted near the catapult. She reached behind her to pull the lever, but missed. She had the same look on her face from before, doubting herself. She tried again immediately and pushed the lever, activating the catapult and causing the scarf to be thrown towards Aizawa.
Aizawa backed off, jumping away and keeping his distance.
"Shoto-kun!" Momo signaled. "Blast your flames low!"
Flames burst from the cloak. Just like Momo said, he aimed low, ignoring the fact that Aizawa was there.
"Mr. Aizawa, tell me, have you heard of nitinol alloy?" Momo asked as the copy of Aizawa's scarf started to harden. "When heated, it turns to its original shape in an instant." The scarf started to stiffen as it wrapped around Aizawa, tying his up. "It's a shape memory alloy!"
"Oh, yeah! They did it!" Ochaco jumped up and down, pumping her fist. "YaoMomo-chan was amazing as always."
"YaoMomo-chan was having a difficult time at first," Toga said as she was forcing me to piggyback her.
Momo and Shoto cuffed Aizawa, claiming their victory and a successful lass at the exam.
"It went exactly according to plan," Shoto crossed his arms and said. "But don't you think that went a bit too smoothly?"
"Honestly, it is inexplicable." Momo answered with a sigh as she held onto to part of the hardened scarf. "When I was about to launch the catapult, I made a mistake…Mr. Aizawa noticed but still jumped away, even though he could have stopped it in that opening. It looked like he was allowing himself to be taken in by my plan on purpose."
"I was just being careful of Shoto-san next to you." Aizawa explained as he looked like he was going to fall asleep. "I could see you, but he still had the cloth over him. I thought he'd use his ice to freeze me. So, I decided backing off would be the best course of action and then played right into your hands."
"Hm," Shoto grunted. "It was only a matter of time, like you said. Thanks."
Momo stared to tear and she covered her mouth, trying not to cry. What a baby. Get on with your emotional moment and get the hell back over here.
"What's wrong?" Shoto asked. "Do you feel sick?"
"N- no, I'm fine."
"If you feel nauseous, there a pressure point on the instep of your foot-"
"I said, it's nothing!"
"Oh, dear," Recovery Girl smiled. "When all's well and done, that man is a softie."
"Team Momo and Shoto have passed the exam!"

BakuNoNii I’m very sorry that this chapter was a lot shorter then the other ones, but it has been a stressful 72 hours(maybe longer) and my mother has been sick, bedridden I her room for almost a week(also probably a lot longer).
I’ll keep writing this amazing story. No way am I dropping this. I am dedicated! ✨
