Capítulo 36: Chapter 36: Powerful

The gunfire made my ears ring and put me in an immediate state of shock. It didn’t happen slowly like it did in the movies. It happened fast—so fast that I barely had time to react.

Silas stumbled back and gripped his shoulder before losing his balance at the cliff's edge.

“No!” I screamed and ran forward, but I couldn’t catch him on time. . . at least not with my hands. My hands shot out in front of me, and two bright flashes of white lit up the area. Magic. Something I didn’t use in front of anyone, or at least not when they paid attention.

The bolts of electricity that came from me caught Silas mid-fall. A magical bubble surrounded him. It was easily visible to not only me but anyone in view of it. These bolts of light had a good grip on him, and I could feel his weight. It was as if I had a rope around him, but it wasn’t.

In a flash, I raised Silas fifty feet into the air and brought him back down on his feet. His hand was still on the gunshot wound.
