Capítulo 17: Chapter 17: Ivy's Rescue
Khalid's eyes narrowed as he considered Damon's demands. He couldn't give in to his rival's blackmail, but he also couldn't risk Ivy's life. He needed a plan.
"Summon Viktor and our top strategists," Khalid ordered his aide. "We need a solution, and fast."
As they gathered in the war room, Khalid briefed them on the situation. "We can't give Damon the heirloom. It would shift the balance of power in his favor. But we also can't abandon Ivy."
Jax spoke up, "We could try to negotiate, offer him something else in exchange for Ivy's safe release."
Khalid shook his head. "Damon won't settle for less. He wants the heirloom, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to get it."
"Perhaps we could use this as an opportunity to infiltrate Damon's empire? Lila suggested Send in a team to extract Ivy and gather intel while we're at it."

Khalid stood at the head of the table in the war room, surrounded by his most trusted advisors. The air was thick with tension as they discussed the details of the plan.
"We have two objectives," Khalid began, his voice steady but intense. "First, we need to ensure Ivy's safe return. Second, we need to gather as much intelligence as possible on Damon's operations."
Jax laid out a map on the table, marking key locations within Damon's compound. "Our best bet is a two-pronged approach. We'll send a small, elite team to infiltrate the compound. One part of the team will focus on extracting Ivy, while the other will plant surveillance devices and gather intel."
Khalid nodded, liking the sound of the plan. "Who do we have in mind for the team?"
Jax glanced at Viktor before replying, "I propose we send Anthony, despite the suspicion surrounding him. His skills and knowledge of our operations are unparalleled, and this mission could serve as a test of his loyalty. Alongside him, we'll have Lila, our top intelligence officer, and a few of our best operatives."
The room fell silent as they considered the implications. If Anthony was indeed the spy, this mission could either prove his loyalty or reveal his true intentions.
Khalid's mind raced as he weighed the options. Finally, he spoke, "Very well. Anthony will lead the extraction team. But we'll assign Lila to keep a close watch on him. If there's any sign of betrayal, we'll act swiftly."
Jax nodded in agreement. "Understood. We'll also have a backup team on standby, ready to move in if things go south."
Khalid turned to his aide. "Make the necessary preparations. I want the team ready to move out within the hour."

Lila got out and headed to Anthony's room to inform him of the mission but Elliot told her that he hasn't seen Anthony since the previous night.

Damon's empire
Anthony's heart raced as he maneuvered through the darkened corridors of Damon's compound. The shadows provided ample cover, and his knowledge of the layout made his progress swift. He had just cleared the last security checkpoint when a familiar figure emerged from the shadows ahead.
"Anthony?" Sophia whispered, her voice barely audible over the hum of the compound's ventilation system. She could recognize her son.
His looks hasn't changed one bit and then again , she got his picture one time with Francis's help.
Anthony was surprised as to how she knew him , but he brushed it aside.
Sophia, smiled as she approached him and hugged him "Anthony, I thought you might show up," she said, her voice dripping with a mix of happiness and sadness. "What brings you here?"
Anthony's mind raced. He needed to play this carefully. "I'm here to ensure Ivy's safety," he said as he disengaged from the hug, probably wondering why this stranger would hug him.
Sophia raised an eyebrow, her skepticism clear. "And you think sneaking in here will help?"
Anthony shrugged, maintaining his calm demeanor. "I have my ways. What's important is that I get Ivy out safely. "I feel I can trust you, so can you help me?.
Sophia's smile widened. "You're lucky I owe you a favor. Follow me. But remember, one wrong move, and you're dead."
Anthony couldn't help but wondered what this strange woman really meant, but his was determined to find out. But as for now, he needs to rescue Ivy.
Meanwhile, Lila rushed to inform Khalid about Anthony's disappearance. She found him in the war room, still deep in discussion with Viktor and Jax.
"Sir, we have a problem," Lila said, catching her breath. "Anthony's missing. No one has seen him since last night."
Khalid's face darkened. "Damn it. This complicates things. We need to move now. Viktor, prepare the backup team. We can't wait any longer."
Jax stepped forward. "I'll take point on the infiltration. We'll stick to the plan, but we need to be ready for anything."
Khalid nodded. "Agreed. Lila, you're with me. We'll coordinate from here and be ready to deploy reinforcements if necessary."
Anthony followed Sophia through a maze of hallways, his senses on high alert. They finally reached a heavily guarded door, which Sophia unlocked with a keycard.
"Ivy's inside," Sophia whispered. "Be quick. I'll handle the guards."
Anthony slipped inside the room, finding Ivy tied to a chair, her face pale but determined. Her eyes widened in surprise when she saw him.
"Anthony? What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice a mix of relief and confusion.
"I'm here to get you out," Anthony replied, quickly untying her bonds. "We need to move fast."
As they prepared to leave, the door burst open, and Damon walked in, flanked by his guards.
His eyes narrowed as he took in the scene.
"Anthony, I should have known," Damon sneered. "You've always been a thorn in my side. But this ends now."
Anthony pushed Ivy behind him, his mind racing for a way out. "Let her go, Damon This is between you and me."
Damon laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "You really think you can bargain with me? The heirloom, Anthony. Where is it?"
Anthony's jaw tightened. "Khalid won't give it up. But we can work something out."
Damon shook his head. "There's no deal. Guards, take them."

Before the guards could move, a series of explosions rocked the compound. The backup team had arrived, creating chaos and confusion. In the ensuing melee, Anthony grabbed Ivy's hand and bolted for the door.
In the midst of the chaos, a masked figured appeared engaging the guards and providing them with cover. "Go! I'll hold them off!" he shouted.
Anthony and Ivy raced through the compound, dodging debris and enemy fire. They reached the extraction point just as Jax and his team secured the area.

As the helicopter lifted off, carrying them to safety, Anthony finally allowed himself to breathe. He glanced at Ivy, who squeezed his hand gratefully.
"Thank you," she said, her voice barely audible over the roar of the helicopter blades.
Anthony nodded, his mind already shifting to the next challenge. They had escaped, but Damon would not take this lightly. The war was far from over.

Khalid met them at the landing pad, his relief evident. He hugged Ivy tightly before turning to Anthony.
"You did well, Anthony," Khalid said, his voice filled with gratitude. "But we need to talk about your disappearance."
Anthony nodded. "I understand. But first, let's review the intel we gathered. We have a lot of work to do."
As they headed back inside, the weight of the coming battles pressed heavily on Khalid's shoulders. They had won a small victory, but the path ahead was fraught with danger. With his family by his side and a renewed sense of purpose, Khalid was ready to face whatever Damon threw at them next.
