Third pov
In a place that exists outside of the three realms of the universe, two of the five people who call this place their home are sitting across from each other. The sky is illuminated by a full moon that shines brightly in the night sky. The pace of the night is not reflected in the interaction between the two men.
The silence is defining. The two beings sit across each other, not speaking at all, just gazing at one another. The tension is so thick it can be cut with a knife. Although everything may seem peaceful, the atmosphere is heavy with anticipation, as if the whole realm they exist in is worried about a clash between the two men.
"My greatest creation just vanished. Would you happen to know how that happened?" says the ebony-skinned man, his glasses hiding his eyes, not allowing one to read his emotions on his still face. His neutral tone gives no hint as his clam voice echos through the empty palace.
Across from him sits a man who is not only feared but also respected by all who know of his existence. The monk who calls the real name Ichibe Hyosube the old monk lets out a large, heartily chuckle "Nimaiya, you're still as passionate about your swords as ever. I see, yes, I know how it vanished from your palace. I believe it was sea turtles," he says with a thoughtful look across his face. His words, although humorous, come with a sense of finality, a sense of an understanding that it is what he says it is.
"Bloody sea turtles, huh? Okay, Ichibe, pray tell me why these sea turtles moved my greatest Asauchi from the palace to the human world and then to soul society in just a few days," he says with an exhausted tone.
"Who can understand the workings of those mighty beasts? But if what I sense is true, those turtles might have just given us a reason to build a new palace," he says in a confident tone.
"Is that so?" Nimayia says, sounding unsure, but he seems to want to leave the subject as is, so he just turns around and starts to walk away, muttering something under his breath. "Monk of names, more like the monk of gaslighting," he says, sounding disgruntled as he leaves the palace of the old monk who is just standing in the empty room smiling.
"Sora Akuma I expect great things from you, boy. I can't wait to meet you." The feeling of impatience was clear in his voice.
The hot sun beat down on Sora as a cool summer breeze blew over her body, jostling him awake. The sky was filled with a symphony of singing birds.
Sora sat up and leaned on a tree as he held his head.
Sora pov
Damn, it feels like I got hit by a bus. What the fuck happened to me? Oh, that's right. I died. Recalling the events of the previous night was disheartening. Wait, if I'm dead, where am I? I quickly start looking to my right and left, analysing my environment to make sure I was safe, and I am puzzled. This was strange; there was no hellfire or any man with red horns and a pitchfork and goat legs; I was just in a forest.
What the hell if I'm dead? Why am I in a forest? Meh, it doesn't matter why or how; all that matters is that I'm here now. I need to plan the next step—what I'm going to do now, I think as I begin to mull over my current predicament.
Okay, plan first. I need to find someone and get answers to where I am next and find the best way to achieve luxury and live in comfort in this new world I'm in. Just then, out of the corner of my eye, I spot something that brings a smile to my face.
I walk over and grab the black and red pommel of the blade. This katana had a black and red hilt and a golden hand guard. As I felt its weight, there was no doubting it. This was the very katana I used at the end of my life, but how did it follow me to the grave? Were the Egyptians right? Do we take our possessions with us in death? In that case, I wish I died in my car; it would beat walking around aimlessly. I sigh at the menial task that plagued me now.
I set off and started to walk forward, trying to get out of the forest.
This is going to be a long day.
The end
Sorry for the short chapter. I'm a bit sick because of the change of season and all that jazz, so I have work, and it's a bit hectic, so I sort of didn't get time for this story. I'm trying to get on a schedule, so this story will now hopefully be uploaded every Wednesday. Have fun, hope you had a good read, and leave a comment. I love to hear from you guys.
