I'm fairly glad that they put me under the for the solution shot. I don't know what they're made of but they have the consistency of peanut butter and send a burning sensation throughout my body.
Right now the sleep gas had me floating through the darkness. Like I was in a pitch black pool of water. I floated there, drowning slowly, thinking of my life and the events leading up to meeting William. As soon as his name flashed through my head, streams of color flew like stars through the darkness, illuminating the lightless world. I wasn't drowning anymore, simply floating. I reached my fingers out and gently touched a stream of the color. It waved around and spiraled before slowly straightening itself back out. I giggled, doing it again. This time it expanded and exploded into confetti. I watched in awe. Is this what it feels like to care for someone? I decided to follow the streams of color and see where they led.
