Chapter 1: Isabella Campbell.
[Mythiopia]
THUNDER! THUNDER!
Pit.. pat.. pit .. pat..
THUD THUD THUD THUD ...
The sound of footsteps running cautiously on the wet forest ground sounded in the dense evergreen forest of the majestic Mythiopia.
The 'Mystic woods', the forest with many secrets and dangers lurking around was something no one dared to enter recklessly.
As beautiful as the forest looked, the darkness residing inside was something even the devil would think twice before challenging. No one would want to anger those malicious spirits.
THUD THUD THUD ..
Despite knowing the sinister powers concealing and disguising themselves in the forest, a woman in a black muddied cloak strolled easily on that ominous land.
The hood covering her face reached the mid of her long and sharp nose and cast a shadow on the lower half of her making it impossible to look at her features.
However, she wasn't alone in the forest. She was carrying a small bundle in her hands but didn't bother if it was getting wet because of the rain pouring down.
After some minutes, she reached a huge lake and stopped her walk.
Closing her eyes, her dark red lips started chanting something incomprehensible but after few seconds the surface of the lake shook a little.
At first it was just the ripples, but then it turned into small waves and then into a gigantic whirlpool making the fishes and aquatic life living inside it thrown out of the lake.
THUNDER .. LIGHTENING.
The sky shook along with the lake, and a lighting shot straight from the sky and landed in the centre of the whirlpool. It wasn't the only location hit by the lightning.
The trees around the lake caught fire as the lightening fell on them. Even after being an evergreen forest, despite it being raining for hours, the fire kept spreading.
Wahhh.. Wahhhh... Wahhhh..
This aggressive fight between the fire and water made the little new life bundled up in the woman's arm cry and wail.
However, the woman was least bothered about the baby's sobs and went on with her chanting till a magical circle was formed in the lake, covering the entire lake with a blinding glow.
The woman finally opened her eyes under the hood and her lips curled into a menacing smirk.
"Time to go little princess. Bye... haha.. Don't blame me for this little Isabella. It's all your parent's fault but alas, you will pay the price. Hope you enjoy your new life in hell.. "
The baby cried and cried but that only elated the woman's mood as she walked closer to the lake and stood just an inch away from the white and golden light flickering above the lake surface.
Looking at the helpless baby for one last time, the woman stretched her hands and dropped the baby into the blinding light.
The new born princess's cries slowly faded as the magic portal closed and the forest calmed down again despite the rain still showering.
The woman stayed there for few more minutes till the light completely settled and left the place. She walked deeper into the forest and disappeared into the dark shadows.
Zzz...
Just as the forest almost settled down into it's former calm, the surface of the lake shone again, but this time to revive the life it killed a few moments ago. The burnt trees slowly got back to what they were before.
Little grass started to sprout on the land and the rain calmed down. The heavens stopped crying, and the sky got clearer and clearer till the first rays of the sun peaked into the forest, waking up the life with it's gentle and warm caress.
The mysterious lake finally settled and this time the diamonds flickering on it's surface was because of the sun rays playfully dancing on the surface.

In the royal palace of mythiopia ...
"Your Majesty. The queen is now conscious and fine. Her Majesty is asking for you." A maid informed the king with her head bowed.
Lawrence Campbell, the young king finally sighed, releasing a breathe he didn't know he had been holding since the past night, when his wife, the queen of Mythiopia went into labor.
Though the baby was safe, the mother had complications and he waiting eagerly for his wife to wake up and look at him and the baby they made.
"The court is dismissed and the next meeting will be held only after my daughter's official naming ceremony." The king got up from his majestic griffin throne made of white gold and left the court hall.
It was only on very rare occasions that the king had a candid smile on his stoic face. The last time they witnessed it was on his wedding day when the kingdom got their new queen. And now was the second time. This kingdom now has a princess.
King Lawrence first went to get his new born daughter from the nanny and took her into his arms gently. The baby was sleeping peacefully in her father's arms as her father went into his personal quarters. As soon as the doors opened, he saw his beautiful wife on bed.
She was weak because of childbirth, but that didn't stop her face from glowing as soon as she saw her husband and child. Her eyes watered looking at the little bundle of joy wrapped in her husband's embrace.
"Lawrence.." Queen Aliza's voice shook as she gazed at her daughter sleeping. She was now a mother. She didn't have enough words to describe the feeling.
It was the same for the king. He didn't have enough words to express his bliss. He was now a father. A father to a daughter.
"Al.. Thank you. Thank you so much my queen. For this wonderful gift." Aliza chuckled in between her tears when she heard her husband.
They hugged each other and the queen, for first time took her daughter into her arms. Gently holding her in her motherly embrace, the queen gazed at the baby's little fingers and hair on her head.
"She had got your hair Lawrence." the queen commented looking at the honey brown hair of her princess. She wanted to see her eyes but the baby was sleeping and she didn't want to wake her up. The king chuckled.
"Are you jealous, my queen?" Lawrence inquired playfully earning a painless hit on her chest from his wife. The queen simply shook her head and went back to her daughter. She frowned after few seconds.
"Lawrence. Why do I sense no magic in her veins?" the queen asked the king. A little confused at this phenomena.
She and husband were the most powerful mages in the kingdom. How can their daughter not have the magical traits?
"It's okay Al. It's our daughter. She doesn't have magic in her yet but it might take some time to awaken it. And even if our daughter can't, it still doesn't matter. I will make our daughter so capable that even with this magical void, no one would ever dare to challenge her authority." King Lawrence said with a proud smile on his face.
Mythiopia was a land of magic. And he, the king of Mythiopia, Lawrence Campbell, is the most powerful wizard the world has ever seen. So it was not wrong for someone to expect his daughter to be as exceptional as him.
Queen Aliza smiled contentedly hearing this. True. The baby in her arms was their daughter because they gave birth to her, not because she had powerful magic running inside her.
Lawrence took the baby from her lap and put her in the cradle beside the bed. His wife was tired and needed enough rest. He watched the two precious ladies in his life go to sleep.
His happy smile slowly dropped and a tear slid out of the corner of his eye. Walking to the cradle, he bent down and stroked the baby's cheeks.
"Forgive me, my princess. I have proved to be the worst father as soon as you were born. I am sorry." He whispered and took a deep breathe to regain his composure.

Five years later ....
[Human world | London | Happy Smiles Orphanage.]
"Everyone.. Be quite. I will write your names on the board if you speak." A four year old girl with her honey brown tied into two little pig tails and emerald eyes warned the class as the teacher was not in the class yet after the lunch and she, being class leader, was taking the responsibility of the class.
Well, most of her fellow classmates listened to her. Some were either taking a nap, or were studying. But not everyone in the class will be the same.
Same goes with the back benchers in the class.
And the back bench group leader, Dylan, who was also popular for always being at logger heads with the class leader - Stella, couldn't keep acting like a good student when especially asked by his sworn enemy.
"Everyone.. Why are you all sleeping? What a boring bunch. Let's play paper cricket. Oyy Max. Make a paper ball." Little Dylan shouted as he stood on his bench and looked at the class.
His shouts woke up the sleeping kids. Stella frowned and pursed her cute baby lips. Disapproval written all over her face.
"Dylan. I told everyone to keep quite. Why are shouting? I will write your name on the board." Little Stella threatened him in her childish voice and of course, it didn't scare Dylan at all.
"Blah blah blah.. Write what ever you want. Add how many pluses you want after my name. Who cares? Heh.." Dylan snorted and smugly looked at his classmates.
"You all. Are you all going to waste your precious fun because of some nerds told that they will write your name on board? My friends. Don't be ashamed or scared of seeing your name on board. In stead, take it as an honour. It is because of you that our section F has a lot of spirit and highest recognition in the school." Dylan boosted proudly as he walked on the bench back and forth. All the attention of the class was on him.
Some of his little lackeys clapped for him and some were confused about this 'highest recognition' thing he talked about. They had highest recognition? Since when?
Ohh yeah. In case of number of absentees, failed students, disobedient kids and worst in sports, their section surely had a remarkable reputation.
