Liam was very nervous. No matter how much he tried to conceal his anxiety, he just could not. It was D-Day and he was currently in the dressing room, getting his make-up done.
His mother had called earlier to wish him good luck, saying she couldn't be there for him but she was honestly rooting for him to do his best and get the approval of everyone.
His friends had followed him here but had taken their seats in the hall. As for Oliver, he hadn't seen or heard from him for the past 24 hours. Today was a public holiday, so they hadn't gone to school. He wasn't sure how he would have reacted had he seen Oliver. And what about Oliver? How would he react? He wasn't even sure Oliver would be willing to come here after what happened the previous day.
"You should try to smile." The girl in charge of his make-up said as she pulled back from him so he could clearly see his transformed face.
