Before I even had time to process my body moved on its own. A child obviously not paying attention to their surroundings causally went into the street for a ball. I pushed her out of the way and everything turns dark.
...
Although I'm not sure how long I've been in the dark I've come to the realization that I have died. It brings me sadness that I've died prematurely however I don't mourn my own. I am however a little sad for the people that cared. Ever since I was a child I haven't been known to show very many emotions. While I somewhat feel them it doesn't really do much for my character. all I seem to are slight attachments to certain people or things. My parents being some of those people. Apparently I was only like this after turning 5 but I don't really remember. I'd still say I love them regardless even if I might not exactly feel that. I also had boyfriend, however we were probably bound to break up. He could never get past my apathetic personality. Really, the only reason we started dating was physical attraction. Of all these people, though, the one I'll miss the most is my dog Cooter. Cooter was the only that never judged me because of how I am. Unfortunately he passed away on the same day I did. Dying at 19, I can't really say I've had a fulfilling life but I can't say I've had a bad one either.
Suddenly the empty black space turns extremely bright and reflexively I bring up my hands the cover my eyes. "Hello, young one we seem to be in quite the dilemma." I lower my hands to see a person that seems to be a man wearing a toga but for some reason there seems to be something blocking me from seeing his face.
"This is the afterlife right?" I say completely disregarding his first comment.
"Well, yes and no it is a fact that you are dead however due to a mistake you died prematurely so it would seem you were put into something like stasis, or an in between so to speak," I assume he must be a God of some sort seeing that he was able to answer my question.
"So why did you say we were in a dilemma," I ask him after realizing my situation.
"It's more of a problem for me than it is for you but how much if a problem will depend on you," he responds thoughtfully, "you have one of two options you can choose."
"The first one is for me to pass you along to the reincarnation cycle where you'll forget all of your memories and start over in another world, or you can solve a problem that I'm having trouble with."
I look at the God with my emotionless looking face, "What are the benefits of helping you with your problem."
" You'll be allowed to know if you chose that option, so which will it be."
Without even taking much time to think about it, " I'll do the second option."
"Wow, not even taking time to think about it, are you sure? You don't even know what I'll have you do?" he says questioning how I could have answered him that fast.
"It's fine, I'm already dead and if I go through the reincarnation cycle I won't even remember this conversation so it'll probably be alright," I say not really caring either way.
"Well, alright, if you say so." God just shrugs his shoulders.
" I need you to help me repopulate the universe I govern."
" So will I have to be turned into a girl, and to repopulate anyway wouldn't I have to give birth to a bunch of babies." I question how this God expects me to repopulate his universe. It should take a lot more than just one person to 'repopulate'.
"Not necessarily, you don't have to be a girl if you don't want to, I'll be making it so that you give birth to eggs, so of course you be able to produce a lot more."
"The population of demi humans is dwindling which is why I need to someone to help regrow the population, which is where you come in."
"Since I'm asking you for a favor I'll allow you to make three wishes and as along they aren't ridiculous I will grant them for when you transmigrate."
I take a minute to think about what I would want when going to this world. I decided to ask a few questions first before I make any final decisions.
"Does this world happen to have magic and am I able to change my appearance without it being a part of my wishes." Although I don't have very many wants I've always wanted to be able to use magic. Maybe if I had magic I'd be able to fix my emotion problem.
"Yes this universe does use magic and allowing you to change your appearance won't be too much trouble."
Now that I have that settled I take another minute to decide what I want.
"I've decided, my first wish is super regeneration, then a system to help me in repopulation among other things, and finally the ability to reproduce without having to necessarily receive 'it'."
"Just so you're aware if you get super regeneration every time you have sex on the receiving end you'll be like a virgin."
"That's fine, pain is an inevitable thing when having sex so I doubt it'd make much a difference." I've been known to have a high pain tolerance, so it's not really much for me. I only asked for it so it's less likely for me to die and it'll make it easier to recover after having kids all the time.
"All right the first two are fine, though, the last one I'll have to modify it slightly to let you get adjusted to the magic first, so I'll just incorporate it into your system."
" So all that's left is for you to choose what you're appearance will be," he says happily, " As soon as you choose your appearance you'll begin transmigrating, so this'll be goodbye."
"Thanks Drew you're really doing me a favor helping me out with this." After he says that he disappears without a trace.
I don't even remember telling him my name, I guess he really is a God.
