Jayr POV - Blue Star, East Blue - 20 GAP
5 days passed since Koby's new training regime started and we are finally closing in next our destination, Dawn Island, which is probably the most important island located in the East Blue and where the Goa Kingdom is situated.
It is the home island of this world protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy, and the starting point of his journey into piracy, as well as the home island of his father, the revolutionary Monkey D. Dragon, and grandfather, the marine hero Monkey D. Garp.
Dawn Island is also the adopted home of Portgas D. Ace after the death of his mother and the home of Sabo and his family, basically, this is the home of some of the most powerful and influential characters of this whole world.
I think that if we continue to sail at this pace, we will probably reach the island tomorrow morning, which give us plenty of time to explore it and check if all the important characters are fine or were hit by the beat of the butterfly's wings.
These 5 days were mostly peaceful as everything fell into a routine, and like every other day, this morning, I woke up very early surrounded by the naked bodies of my girls as we enjoyed our previous night together while the ever-dutiful Cloth-cum-babysitter Crateris took care of kids as we were busy.
Of course, we don't do it every day because Seika, Saori, and Eri aren't constantly horny like Tio and I, and I don't want to impose my desires on them, so sometimes we just cuddle, watch a movie, or even play and take care of Python and the kids together.
After carefully getting out of bed to not wake up the girls, I quickly prepare everyone's breakfast then I deposit into the Time Box and go into my Soulbound Territory to start my daily training in the accelerated time zone, where 1 minute outside is equal to 1 hour inside, where I spend around 10 minutes of normal time, meaning 10 hours training to my limits, and while I could extend the time difference much more to the point that one second equals to one year or even more, there is no way that I stay 1 year or more away from my family just to constantly train.
After training, I return to the Athena's God Bidoof and first I teleport Kuro's breakfast into his cell, well, I call it cell but it is a simple room like any other in this ship with simply the bare minimal furniture inside, after all, when I built the Athena's God Bidoof, I didn't plan or even considered the idea of having prisoners, but luckily as everything in this ship is under my and Athena's God Bidoof's control, it is impossible for Kuro to escape his room simply because everything is simply too hard for someone like him to even dream of damaging.
Of course, as soon as I left him into his "cell" Kuro tried to escape by trying to break the window or the door, but the only thing he was able to break was his bones in attempting to do so.
So with the chance of escaping gone, Kuro easily accepted my deal of being Koby's sparring partner, as I think about the deal I made with Kuro I can't help but smirk while thinking, 'Of course, I will hold on to my part of the deal that if Koby is unable to hit him before we leave the for the Grand Line, I will set him free with enough gold to live the rest of his life in luxury... Luckily he didn't specify where I'll set him free... for example I can always safely teleport him to Impel Down in the Warden's personal bathroom right after he has done his daily business, they will surely be a few agonizing minutes of riches, and freedom before he dies poisoned by the literal toxic waste... but I'm sure it won't be necessary as with the new training regime Koby is improving even faster and he will surely able to land a blow on him before the agreed time.'
Anyway, after having breakfast with everyone, I and Koby move toward the deck to start his training, as usual, he starts with Saitama's training routine, 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10km run, followed by 10km of swimming with the weighted clothes on while chased by a shark or a Sea King, whatever is the nearest, which almost caused Koby to drown or be eaten a couple of times, and the good old weighted rock climbing, or running uphill as enormous boulders are thrown at you, of course, the needed mountain and rock are something I create at the moment just for this training then I quickly destroy them.
Truly seeing him going through this kind of training brings a smile to my face as I think, 'What kind of teacher would I be, if I don't make my student go through the same childhood trauma that I did... With this, only the unharmed fight against wild beast and the high-pressure training are left, but I still didn't find a point that is as deep as the Mariana Trench... but I will find it, after all this world is full of amazing places, maybe when he is ready I'll make Koby run around that Raijin Island where it constantly rains lightning to train his dodging ability and reaction time.'
Done with the morning training, I leave giving some free time to Koby to rest and recover both body and mind, and so I move to check on the girls and the kids, and sense that everyone is on the bridge, so without any hesitation, I join them to see what is going on.
As soon as I step inside the bridge, I'm greeted by the sight of an excited Nikita as she jumps around and yells in joy, "Yes! Yes! YES!! How lucky!! He is really here!!"
Curious I asked Seika who was sitting on the captain seat what was going on, and she told me that as they were talking, all of a sudden, Nikita grew curious about how the Compass of the Eternal Paths which was installed on the Athena's God Bidoof's helm worked, as she didn't know how it could simply indicate the direction of everything we needed.
Then Eri quickly explained that the Compass of the Eternal Paths is a compass that is imbued with the power of concept magic from her home universe, the Arifureta Universe, which can be used to find any place, person, or object in any world or universe, the only downside is that the further the thing you are searching for is the more energy it cost to find it.
Hearing that, Nikita quickly realized that the Compass of the Eternal Paths could easily be the solution to her current problem and that it could help her find the location of the Champion she befriended and fell in love with before the Random Battle, the Champion named Zandeer, and this is the only thing I know about him as Nikita didn't reveal any other important information, well, not that I asked her, but at least from what I heard, he seems like a good guy.
That or that was the facade he was showing so that he could try to seduce and use Nikita for his shady purposes, 'Oh well, it is no use speculating about that now, I'll know everything I need to know when I meet him. It's better to draw a conclusion about someone's character using one own personal experience instead of trusting what others say about him.'
Anyway, once Nikita learned about the Compass of the Eternal Paths' capabilities, she quickly begged the girls to help her using the compass to find the Champion Zandeer's location, or at the very least to learn if he is currently in this world, or even in this universe.
Eri, Seika, Saori, and Tio quickly agreed to help her, and so while they used their Spiral Cosmos to power the Compass of the Eternal Paths, Nikita searched for her loved one.
The result of their search is obvious, the Champion Zandeer is also on planet Blue Star, but it seems that he is located in another sea, Nikita wasn't able to exactly feel his position, but she sensed that he was quite far from our current position.
And as expected, with the revelation that her close friend and love interest is also in this world, Nikita is now fully excited and she is fully walking around with a skip in her steps.
Anyway, I spend the rest of the morning watching anime and playing with the kids, then after having lunch, in the early afternoon it is time for Koby's training, so we once more head toward the deck where I start to teach him everything I know about Pankration, and after that, I go and bring Kuro here so to start their daily sparring match.
At first glance it seems that nothing changed, Kuro is still taking advantage of his superior agility and of the Nukiashi, also known as the Pussyfoot Manouver, to beat up Koby without giving him any chance to retaliate.
But some difference can already be seen if I compare the Koby standing in front of me right now, and the Koby of 5 days ago.
First, these sparring sessions are gradually getting longer, as Koby can endure more and more strikes from Kuro as his body gets stronger, but more important of all, slowly but surely Koby is starting to react to Kuro's movements, he doesn't rely only on his eyes anymore, now he is starting to use all his senses to grasp his opponent's position and sometimes he is even able to somewhat parry an attack, but still, he gets then hit by the quick and brutal follow up, but this is a clear improvement.
And this is only the start, as similar to what I did to awaken the 7th Sense, the more Koby improves, the more senses I will block during our evening sensory deprivation training, slowly forcing him to rely on something else sleeping in his body to perceive the incoming attacks, of course, I'm talking about awakening his Kenbunshoku Haki (Observation Haki).
But looking at Koby as he struggles to keep up with Kuro and tries in vain to hit him blindly throwing some punches and hoping for the best, I can't help but think, 'But I have to be very careful in awakening his Haki, it is better if the process is slow and gradual, if it is done too fast, I may bring him more harm than good...'
After fighting, well, more like getting beaten up for more than 25 minutes, Koby gets knocked out and once again he ends up with many of his bones broken.
But looking at Kuro's disheveled appearance with his messy clothes stuck on his body because of the copious amount of sweat as he huffes and takes deep breaths to regain as much stamina as possible, I smile while thinking, 'If it continues like this it is very probable that Koby will soon be able to hit Kuro simply by outlasting him... It seems that my training regime is working as intended, by pushing his body way beyond his limits and then quickly repairing everything, his body is able to constantly improve reaching monstrous levels of speed, power, and more importantly stamina. Probably without the weighted clothes, Koby could very well already deal with most of the common pirates with a bounty of the East Blue.'
While thinking that, I walk toward the knocked-out Koby and the obviously tired Kuro who, as soon as he sees me, loudly clicks his tongue while complaining, "What the hell are you doing to this kid? It is almost like I'm fighting a completely different person every damned day! At first, he was a weak and clueless mob, unable to do anything but be beaten to death as much as I liked, and now while he still isn't a threat, I have to expend this much energy and time to knock him out, and he is even starting to react to my Nukiashi and parry a few of my attacks something that no one was able to do before."
I gently pick up Koby and start to heal him using my Spiral Cosmo, then I face the annoyed Kuro and reply, "It's simple. I'm training him so that he can fulfill his dream of becoming a Marine official, but since he was quite vague, I decided to train him so that he can become an Admiral."
Then with Koby in my arms, I look at Kuro and say, "Moreover, your Pussyfoot Manouver isn't as good or unique as you think... The Marines have a very similar technique called Soru of the Rokushiki martial arts style, something mainly used by Marine officials that patrol the Grand Line."
And as we start walking I explain, "Soru is a technique that allows the users to move at extremely high speeds in order to avoid attacks, as well as to attack at higher speeds and with greater power. The main principle of this move is to kick off the ground at least ten times in the blink of an eye. Sounds familiar right? But this particular skill is different from your ultimate technique the Shakushi even if they travel at roughly the same speed."
Sensing his interest, I continue to explain, "The main difference is that when you use that technique, you cannot see what you're are attacking, or how far and where you are going, whereas the Marines have mastered this ability and therefore can. And this is only the most simple and fundamental technique of the martial art style called Rokushiki."
While telling him that, I lead Kuro back to his "cell" as he meekly follows me, well he did try to escape or pull a fast one on me many times before, but he learned the hard way that his every struggle is pointless and the best way to get out of this situation is to follow my instruction to the letter as defying me isn't an option, well a couple uses of Past Injuries was all I needed to do.
Past Injuries is the technique that makes a target feel the pain of all the wounds he received throughout his whole life all at the same time, which is quite an awful experience especially if one suffered many injuries in his or her life.
Moreover, his current living conditions aren't that bad, his "cell" is in fact a quite big room with at least basic furniture like a bed, a desk, and an attached bathroom, there is even a window that allows him to look outside, it is closer to an hotel room than a prison cell, and while he can't get out of it without my consent, he is still being fed delicious food, hell, I even healed his broken bones.
Basically, I'm treating him like a human being even considering what kind of scum he is, well, the main reason for that is that I don't enjoy bringing unnecessary pain and suffering, I'm just not so cruel, but he will surely receive his just punishment for the evil he has done and the suffering he brought, especially since he doesn't have any regret over it.
Could he change and repent? Yes, as small as the probability is, it is still possible as his soul isn't yet pitch black, and everyone has a chance to change for both the better and the worse, this is also the main reason I didn't outright kill him, at least not yet, but I don't have much mercy left for him so if by the time we go on our separate way for one reason or another he doesn't improve a little, I'll follow through with my plan of dealing with him.
After putting Kuro back in his "cell", I bring the still unconscious but fully healed Koby to his room, and lay him on his bed, at the same time, remembering what I told Kuro about the Rokushiki, I look at Koby and mutter, "It is still a little soon to teach him those techniques, while his current body is barely able to withstand their use, he still isn't ready for them yet. Moreover, he still has to fully digest all he has learned until now, it is better to slow down a little... What he has now is enough to deal with most of what one could face in any of the Four Seas."
With that conclusion, I leave Koby's room and head toward the recreation area that I built as I want to take some time and simply relax, so, with a brief use of my Cosmic Awareness I realize that currently Saori and Tio are with Galen and Kharna, Eri is training in her Undead Realm, Seika is on the captain seat but she isn't there to control Athena's God Bidoof, no, she is talking with her as the two continue to grow closer as Athena's God Bidoof's soul gets stronger each passing day, and Python, well Python is happily swimming under Athena's God Bidoof in his 30 meters long form and is currently feasting on a very dead Sea King that got too close to the ship.
I reach the recreation room and as expected, Nikita is also here, causing mayhem on the streets of Los Santos as she runs over innocent people while driving a truck while being chased by the police, yup, she is playing the good old Grand Theft Auto V, and since I have nothing better to do, I simply sit down next to her and seeing the 4 wanted star on the screen, I ask, "So, classic police chase challenge?"
Nikita doesn't move her gaze away from the screen as she makes her character jump out of the speeding truck that is about to explode making it crash and explode against the incoming Police Riot while at the same time, causing her wanted level to rise to 5 star.
At the same time, Nikita causally replies with a grin, "Yup, it is always fun to see how long I can last... But I admit that sometimes I miss the chaos of GTA Online... and I especially miss my orbital cannon..."
While saying that, Nikita takes advantage of the swing glitch to escape a particularly bad situation and so continues the police chase, while I nod and agree with her, "Yeah, sometimes you couldn't take a step without something crazy happening around you, but think of that... If you really miss it so much you can always try to visit the Grand Theft Auto Universe..."
Hearing that, Nikita quickly denies it, "Oh Hell no! Can you imagine living in that universe!? Not only I would be unable to use my magic over there, but the physics of that world could be just as bugged as the ones in the games... and let's not talk about the level of criminal activity that can be found basically everywhere. More importantly, I don't want to drive a car that can easily explode or that will be surely stolen as apparently there isn't a single safe vehicle over there, hell even military vehicles can still be easily stolen!"
We continue to casually chat and play for about half an hour when all of a sudden, Nikita asks, "So when are we going to finally travel the Grand Line?"
I simply continue to look at the screen as I try to kill as many police officers as possible without dying or being caught and reply, "Pretty soon, I simply want to check if everything is fine on Luffy's side, then we will visit Loguetown as this world custom before entering the Grand Line through the Reverse Mountain."
Hearing my answer, Nikita stops playing, and looking at me she asks once more, "Why don't we just fly over it, or sail through the Calm Belt to reach it? The Athena's God Bidoof is more than capable of doing do."
At this point, my character gets run over and killed by a police car, so I click my tongue in annoyance before looking at Nikita in the eyes and ask back, "And where is the fun and the adventure in that!?"
Then I sigh and say, "Haa... Listen, I know that you are in a hurry to meet with your future boyfriend, but since he came to this universe after returning back to the Dark Soul Universe waiting for you after the Random Battle then just like us he will have to wait for a year to use once again the Unigate. This means that you have at the very least 7 to 8 months to reunite with him, and even if he changes universe before that, then I'll promise you that we will chase after him, after all, I don't have any particular plan right now, I'm fine to laying low and enjoy my time with my family until the next Random Battle that will happen in two years. So please enjoy the experience..."
Then with a grin I add, "And don't forget that I could also simply teleport you to his side if it is really so urgent, after all now that I know that he is in this world, it is really easy for me to find him I just have to use my Cosmic Awareness and have an idea of what to search for and voilà, its done... but do you truly want to reunite with him in such a tasteless and unromantic way?"
I start to use the same tone of voice I use when I narrate stories to the kids as I continue, "Instead isn't more romantic the idea of two people tirelessly searching for one another holding only on that promise of love to keep going, sailing through countless tribulations and dangers only to finally meet and live together happily after..."
Nikita starts to have a dreamy look as she starts to imagine the scene of their reunion, then she shakes her head and declares, "Okay, I'll enjoy this adventure with you guys... but if the time for his Unigate opening gets closer, then all this goes to hell and you will send me to him as soon as possible! Are we clear?"
I simply nod with a smile on my face, while at the same time, I think, 'This is good... I still don't know what kind of person this Champion named Zandeer is, but I know that in her previous life, Nikita was simply a young teen before she died, and there is the possibility that this Zandeer is simply playing with her to use to his advance, there is no way I would simply send her in his arms if that is case, after all, in this past half year Nikita became Eri, Tio, Saori and Seika's good friend, my kids think of her as their aunt, she is already part of the family, and there is no way I'll let any harm befall her.'
After some time, I leave the recreation room and move to the kitchen to prepare everyone's dinner, after dinner, Koby and I head toward the deck for the last time to start our evening training, where I seal his sight and start to beat him up with a wooden stick to train his other senses and allow him to perceive and react to any danger without relying on his eyesight.
Of course, I control my strength in such a way, that Koby can sense and react to my blows gradually increasing in difficulty each time he is able to comfortably react to the previous blows, I also make sure that my blows will only bring him a hell lot of pain without actually damaging anything.
We continue this form of training until the sky becomes dark, then I restore Koby's sight and let him return to his room to sleep and rest.
Meanwhile, I return to my bedroom to join the girls and I'm greeted by the cutest voice ever as she yells, "Papa!!" which quickly makes my heart melt, and see a small white dragon flying into my chest.
Indeed little Kharna also started talking and while she isn't as smart as her brother Galen who can already fluently speak full sentences, she is also very smart compared to normal children.
And like this we all play together with the kids then we all go to sleep on the bed, and the next morning, after once more starting my usual routine with carefully getting up to not wake up everyone, preparing breakfast, my morning training, and breakfast with everyone, we all move to the bridge as the shadow of an island can easily be seen in the distance, we finally arrived at our destination, Dawn Island.
