“Reinforcement?” I echoed, turning in the direction where he was pointing. And sure enough, there were more wolves emerging from the threes. A head of them come a monstrous wolf, shrouded in shadow and darkness.

Shivers of fear emerged, tracking down my spine…

“Shit,” Chris hissed, somehow managing to emerge next to me along with Jack. He gripped his sword a little tighter and planted his feet a little firmer on the ground. Jack’s ears flattened against his head and he bared his teeth.

There were easily 200 wolves coming…

The lead wolf stepped into the light, his fur as black as night, but his eyes an electric blue. Eyes that I could easily recognize after having spent so much time with him.

It was the wolf, who’d saved my life…

It was Trevor!

“It’s ok,” I sighed in relief, feeling a smile spread across my lips. “He’s on our side!”

“What?” Chris asked in confusion, glancing between me and the newcomer. “How can you---?”
