Capítulo 5: The setup!
" Tony a little help over here!"
Steve yelled out for help as he was being pinned down by enemy fire.
" I'm in a pinch myself Cap."
Tony yelled back as he battled with Iron monger and whiplash.
" Argh!"
Tony grunted as Whiplash hit him with one of his whips shocking him viciously.
The avengers were under attack from some of their fiercest foes. Winter soldier, Whiplash, Iron monger, Titania and the wrecking crew, and yellow jacket.
" Anyone wanna fill me in on why some of our bad guys are working together now?"
Tony asked as he dodged a barrage of missiles from Iron Monger.
" What's the matter Stark? No funny jokes, no quips, Nothing Irritating to say?"
Iron Monger asked as he fired at Tony
" Uh, anyone wanna answer me?"
Tony asked
" Sorry tony, Ugh! I'm a little busy fighting for my life!"
Jen yelled at tony as she was struck in the side by carl's wrecking ball.
" Ignoring me tony? Well let's see how your little wasp dodges me."
Iron Monger said as he turned his rockets towards Janet and Hank who were both fighting yellow jacket.
" Wasp look out!"
Steve yelled out
Janet and Hank turned in time to see a barrage of missiles heading straight towards them. Right before the Missiles hit a blur sped in front of the duo.
" Wasp! Giant man!"
Jennifer yelled as the Missiles exploded.
" Hahaha! Two avengers down, three to go."
Iron Monger cheered as he believes he killed the couple.
" What's so funny?"
Jay asked.
The man's voice drawing the attention of everyone present.
" What?! Who are you?"
Iron Monger asked angrily.
" I believe the people know me as Superman."
Jay said as the smoke finally cleared.
" Wasp! Giant man!"
Steve yelled happy to see his friends alive and well.
" Thanks Superman."
Janet thanked the man who had saved her and her husband's life.
" Yeah, thanks man."
Hank replied as well.
" No problem. Now then, I recommend you all surrender now."
Jay said
" Or what?"
Crusher asked defiantly.
" Or you'll all be taking a trip to the hospital before going to jail."
Jay replied to the man as his eyes turned red.
" Oh yeah? Why don't you come over here and try it."
Crusher said taunting the man into action.
" See look at this guy all talk and-"
Crusher was saying to his friends as a fist appeared in his vision.
Jay rushed Crusher while he was gloating and punched him square in his face sending the man flying across the city.
" So. Who's next?"
Jay asked the remaining villains who were stunned by the man's strength and speed.
" Yahh!"
Whiplash yelled as he attacked Superman with his electric whips. Jay stood still and grabbed the whip just before it hit and held it.
" How?"
Whiplash asked in fear.
Jay pulled on the whip bringing whiplash towards him. He caught the man by his face and slammed him into the ground knocking him out instantly.
" Get him!"
Iron Monger yelled.
The remaining members of the Wrecking crew, Titania, Iron Monger, and the winter Soldier all rushed to attack Superman. Superman flew into the oncoming fighters. The three Wreckers attacked superman first, attacking him with their weapons, but Superman grabbed the weapons and counter attacked.
" Is this all you guys can do?"
Superman asked as he slammed one of the wreckers faces into the ground.
" Bite me!"
Iron Monger yelled as he fired multiple rockets at Superman. Superman turned and flew directly into the rockets as they fired closing the distance between him and Stain. Clark emerged from the smoke and ripped the Iron Monger armor in half destroying it like it was nothing. He then grabbed stain and tied him to a nearby car.
" So, are we going to continue this or are we done here?"
Superman asked again.
" Why does no one ever make things easy?"
Superman asked
' Whoa this guy is good; he's taking down some of our deadliest foes with ease.'
Janet thought as she watched the man make easy work of the enemy.
Superman took a deep breath and went to work grabbing the remaining two Wreckers and planting them into the ground hard before throwing each of them into the other villains. Winter Soldier was knocked off his feet as the big man landed on him. Superman took the opportunity to wrap him up with Carl crushers wrecking ball.
" Looks like you're the only one left."
Superman said as he turned towards Titania.
Titania seeing no other options held up her hands in surrender.
" I surrender."
Titania said in defeat.
" A wise decision."
Superman said.
After waiting for shield to come and take the defeated Villains the avengers approached Superman.
" Thank you for the assist, Superman."
Steve said as he offered the man a handshake.
" No, problem captain. It was my pleasure."
Superman said as he shook Steve's hand.
" Don't be so nice Steve. We would have had the solved no problem."
Iron Man spoke.
" Don't be like that Tony, He saved me and Hank. Thank you again for that>"
Janet said with a smile.
" No, problem. I'm just glad I got here in time to help."
Superman replied with a smile to the woman.
" Ahem, Thanks for the save Superman."
Hank said as moved Janet to the side.
Jay looked at him strangely before shaking the man's hand
" If that's all we should head back Janet."
Hank said to the woman.
Janet looked a little saddened before nodding her head and turning to leave with her husband.
' Okay, that was weird.'
Superman thought as he watched the two leave.
" Good to see you again Cutie."
Jen said as she wrapped her arms around the man's shoulders.
" It's nice to see you as well Jen."
Superman said to the woman.
" Hey, we need to talk."
Jen said to the man
" Okay, hold on."
Superman said as he lifted the woman off the ground and away from the battlefield.
" What's up with those two?"
Clint asked as he and the others watched the two leave.
" I don't know. Maybe she asked for a ride home?"
Steve replied.
The two heroes flew in the air and landed on a nearby building.
" Okay, so what's up?"
Jay asked as he placed the woman down on the Ground.
" We're gonna need to have a rain check put on that date this weekend."
Jen said solemnly
" Why what's up?"
Jay asked in confusion.
" I need you to keep this a secret can I trust you not to tell anyone?"
Jen asked
" Of course, what is it?"
Jay asked in confusion.
" Well, fury got wind that Latveria is amassing a bunch of weapons for an attack. So, me and few other heroes are going in to put a stop to them. It's been chaos over there since Doom disappeared."
Jen explained to the man.
" Jen that's bad. That's dangerous, you guys could be causing an international disaster. Are you sure this is the right thing to do?"
Jay asked.
" I don't like it, but Fury says we got the go ahead. And if we can stop an attack like this before it comes then we have to."
Jen explained.
" Okay, I'll be close by incase you guys need and a hand. Just be safe, okay?"
Jay said as he hugged the woman.
" You got it country boy."
Jen replied.
" Now, do you mind giving me a ride home?"
Jen asked
" No problem. Hold on tight!"
Jay said before rocketing off of the building towards Avenger's tower.
