Capítulo 40: First Maze

Xaloc felt a change of scenery before his eyes. He scanned through the surrounding landscape. It was a lovely forest surrounded by tall thin trees, accompanied by the sound of water.

Xaloc's eyes widened. This was not good!

Most predators stay close to the water source and the trees are too high for Xander to climb. This was not a preferred location for him.

He took off, sweat dripped down his face as he jogged ahead. After twenty minutes, the corner of his mouth tucked down.

He was back exactly where he began. It was at this moment that he remembered that the vice principal had called this a maze. He pulled up his shirt and took out the short knife that he tied around his side.

He carved a letter on the trunk of the first tree and the next walking with careful steps in a straight formation.

He stopped and frowned, he had appeared exactly where he began.

Xaloc frowned as he looked behind him, he did not remember carving that tree.
