What better purpose could there be than fighting to defend the universe?

Annabelle's life was uprooted when an enigmatic woman offered her a spot in an elite magic academy created by Bastion, an ancient organization protecting every world. Deadly fights to defend her race? Existential threats to the universe? A chance her own peers fall in battle? All of it did little to dissuade her. The opportunity to learn magic, to see new worlds, and to tread a foggy path were too alluring to decline!

But there seems to be more than meets the eye about her presence in Bastion, and perhaps it isn't as random as it appeared.
