Capítulo 27: Chapter 27: LAW

"Where the fuck did she just come from?" Clay and Kyle both looked in the direction of the quickly retreating young girl.

"Oh shit, I think she just left Brand's room," Kyle answered with a look of shock on his face. Fuck me, that's all the fuck I need now.

I was still dealing with what happened last night. I was expecting the sheriff to be on my ass any minute, but he couldn't prove shit; I made sure of that.

The men who had ridden with us were never going to talk, and no one had seen any of us. There will be suspicion, of course, and the son was still in the wind, but I wasn't worried.

The sheriff was the least of my worries; in another day or so, I'll start on my campaign against him. But if what I was looking at is what I thought, then there was going to be even more fucking trouble.

I headed off to Brand's room with a splitting fucking headache. I knocked and entered before he could answer.
