Capítulo 3: chapter 2 : Darkness
I was never afraid of the dark until now. The world was pitch black and my eyes were wide open. Am I blind or dead? I wasn't sure.
I heard a noise that sounded like a low growl and I frantically looked around. Whatever it was it didn't sound friendly.
Stumbling I got up in the dark and I could hear my heart beating wildly in my chest. Before I could register what was happening, something lunged straight at me from the darkness. My back hit the floor as I tried to hold back whatever it was. I couldn't see but it felt like I'm being attacked by a bloodhound. Its teeth were close to my face biting the air trying to take a chunk off my face if I wasn't holding it back.
Why? why am I always being chased or attacked by some demon?
I didn't understand what was happening. Why was I in the dark or why was some hound attacking me?
stay calm. I needed to survive.
I flipped us over so I was on top of it and started strangling whatever it was. However, it kicked me so hard that I went flying, landing on my back once again. Then I felt the pain.
It bit my arm so hard digging its jaws deep into my skin. I screamed in pain trying to get it off of me.
My arm felt like it had been dipped in melting hot lava and I've never felt anything more painful in my life. With whatever adrenaline I had left I grabbed it with my other arm and strangled its neck or what I thought was its neck because I couldn't see anything in this pitch darkness.
For a second it withdrew its jaws from my flesh and I took that chance to snap its neck clean.
The sound echoed through the darkness and I heard a loud 'thump.' hit the floor.
I sat there in shock, not understanding what just happened.
Suddenly, the place lit up. I closed my eyes as the blinding light was almost too painful to bear. The moment my eyesight adjusted I looked around, taking in my surroundings.
I was In a bright white room with four walls surrounding me. There was nothing in it but me and-
I looked down at the creature in front of me.
I was right. It did resemble a hound.
but to my shock, it had six beady red eyes on its head and a tongue of a snake.
At that moment, like a long-forgotten dream, my memories rushed back to me.
Running with Lucy and hiding in the building.
and oh god,
The Zakarian.
As if summoned by my thoughts one of the walls started to open up on its own. The matter moved around shaping into an opening and the tall frame of the Zakarian stepped into the room.
I saw him regard me impassively through his helmet with those green eyes of his.
There was a terrifying silence that followed.
"Good. Look's like you were able to survive." I heard him say in that deep voice of his. I clutched my injured arm and looked at him horrified. Did he do this?
"Although that was one of our weakest I didn't think you would manage to kill it. Well done earthling. Looks like you're worthy of becoming a pet." he says those words with such cruel glee that it terrified me.
What does he mean by a pet?
He stalked towards me like a predator and I crawled back in response. Clutching my injured arm.
"Stay back!" I shout. I know my situation is hopeless and there is nothing I can do. I'm at his mercy.
He reached out to me and I swatted his large hand away.
He tried again and I did it the second time.
Annoyed with my antics the Zakarian grabbed my uninjured arm and pulled me up. My feet left the ground as I dangled from his grasp.
I grunted in pain.
"Fine, if you do not wish to be healed then so be it, but you will not walk around in those filthy human clothes. You reek worse than the mutt you just killed."
With those words, he ripped my shirt clean off my body and proceeded to do so with the rest of my clothing. To my horror, before I knew it, I stood there in front of him, completely and utterly naked.
