Neil locked the door to his room well, he dragged himself to the edge of the bed and pressed the green button that was moving on the screen of his cellphone. He smiled to find Michelia calling him on the other end.
"Hello?" Neil's voice sounded hoarse to his ears. He lightly massaged his neck while waiting for an answer from Michelia.
"Neil? Are you okay?" asked Michelia worriedly.
"I'm fine, how about you, Lia? Why are you calling?"
"I want to ask you something, Neil."
"Ask Lia." Neil frowned in confusion at the change in the tone used by his best friend.
"You live with Skylar there?"
"Yes, Michelia. You found out yesterday, didn't you?"
"I'm sorry in advance, Neil. But was your mother there?" asked Michelia carefully.
Neil gasped when Michelia brought up that part of his family that Neil had absolutely no idea who and where he was. Neil shook his head then he replied "No my mother is here."
"Ouch, new problem," Michelia mumbled from behind the call.
"What's wrong, Lia?"
"Skylar and I made a mistake. Skylar lives with you, of course, he's not with his mom right now, or if he was you would know. The house Skylar shared with his mom was never here. So how are we supposed to find that closet and get out of here?"
Michelia said at length making Neil's brow furrow in confusion. "What does the closet mean and what does it have to do with Skylar's mother?"
"We read a book on Skylar's suggestion. The book looks more like a diary, but it tells a story about the dimensional part of this mirror. Because of that book I was able to know the entrance to this mirror dimension of a cupboard in Skylar's mother's room. , but I don't know where the other cupboards are here," explained Michelia in a hasty sentence.
"So we have to look for the cupboard?"
"True, but with us knowing where your mother lives the cupboard should be there too."
Neil felt an uneasy feeling swirling in his stomach. "My mom?"
"Yes your mother and Skylar," Michelia answered almost immediately.
Neil gaped at that, he still hadn't properly digested what Michelia had just told him. It seemed absurd to him. Until Neil was silent for a while.
"Neil?" Neil blinked with his thoughts broken.
Neil raised his voice then quickly asked "You know my connection between Skylar and Lia?"
Michelia took a breath on the other end, she seemed to have just realized that she was wrong in she what said just now.
"I must have said it wrong," said Michelia quickly.
"Why did you lie?" whispered Neil.
Michelia was taking a deep breath on the other end and said, "It's not for me to say about that, Neil. Sorry."
"You know everything Lia, but you didn't tell me all this time. About Skylar and my mother. I now understand what Sain means."
"Sain?"
"Lia, can we meet tomorrow. We will find the cupboard as soon as possible." Neil didn't let Michelia respond to his words, so Neil continued. "So that I can take you and Faiz home as soon as possible."
