Capítulo 54: Shared Pain

Damien knew he had to tread carefully, but the Supreme Alpha had overstepped too. The only way forward is for each of them to take a step back and it wasn't going to be easy.

"I'm afraid this is not how we deal with our suspects, Supreme Alpha. Thank you for taking care of matters in my absence, but please, allow me to take over from here," Damien said while keeping his calm.

Jake walked up to him. He glared at Damien with flared nostrils. A Supreme Alpha could only command the respect of the Alphas who've submitted to him. Damien was not one of them.

Still, he tried to intimidate him but to no avail.

"The assassin's target was my daughter, Alpha Damien," Jake reminded him in a low tone, "I have every right to interrogate the suspect."
