"Lady, they might report you for death threats," Fina whispered while panicking. They were currently getting out of the labyrinth after the three women ran out to escape on the other side.
"Don't worry, they won't," Rosina muttered confidently. "We have our back-up."
Before Fina could ask what was the meaning behind Rosina's words. A yell was heard behind them.
"Wait!" the woman Rosina saved ran toward them in a hurry. She was panting so hard that she needed to catch her breath for a while.
"You have low endurance. You need to exercise more," Rosina commented while looking at the woman in front of her.
"I'm Felissa Nucci, daughter of Alpha Nucci of Midnight pack," she stated and curtsied. "Thank you for saving me back then."
"I'm Rose," Rosina curtsied as well, followed by her servants. "You're a noble, but why were your servants not with you?"
"Umm, they didn't come to the stroll," Felissa stated and looked at the side with a pink hue on her cheeks.
"Okay, then perhaps you'll go to your room now," Rosina smiled and bid goodbye, but Felissa stopped her.
"You won't ask me what happened?" Felissa muttered. She was confused at how Rosina didn't care about what had happened that could destroy both of their names.
"Because it's not one of my business to take care of," Rosina said nonchalantly. She was curious why Felissa had gotten bullied by a mere commoner, but she wouldn't ask unless Felissa told the story herself.
"I see," Felissa muttered and bit her lips.
Rosina turned her back to leave, but her guts told her not to. She glanced back at Felissa, who was frantically biting her lips to the point that her skin broke.
"You want to come with us?" Rosina stated, and immediately, Felissa's eyes shined brightly at the offer.
"Yes, I will!" Felissa grinned wider as she stood a few inches behind Rosina to follow her.
"Do you have any places in mind that could give us some privacy while we have tea?" Rosina whispered to Fina.
"Yes, I know a perfect place for that, Lady," Fina answered and lowered her head.
"That's perfect. Let's go."
The four of them went to the other side of the labyrinth, where the area was somewhat secluded from the rest. There were tables available for them to relax.
Rosina and Felissa sat down while the two servants prepared the tea and biscuits in the kitchen.
"Thank you again earlier, Lady Rose," Felissa awkwardly muttered to break the silence between them.
"Hmm, you're welcome. We actually planned to troll the area and coincidentally saw you there with them," Rosina explained, even though it was intentional.
Felissa laughed awkwardly and tried to take deep breaths, but she couldn't hold back the tears trying to escape her eyes.
"What's the matter?" Rosina stated softly when she saw Felissa's tears.
"I apologize for my behavior, Lady. I'm fine," Felissa muttered and wiped away the tears while blinking her eyes multiple times to stop them, but she could not.
"Let the tears flow along with your emotions. It's not good to hold them inside you for long," Rosina said mildly for Felissa to have a comfortable atmosphere that she could cry on without judgment.
After Rosina said her words, Felissa burst into tears and let out all her hurtful and frustrating emotions without caring about the world.
Rosina took out her handkerchief and slid it towards Felissa while she stayed silent and let her be until she was okay. It took about 10 minutes before Felissa calmed down and was hiccupping while wiping the tears away.
"Th-thank you," Felissa whispered with a smile.
Rosina only smiled at her while trying to focus her attention somewhere else because somehow, she saw herself in Felissa years ago. The crying and weakness led to the nightmare of her life that she wanted to forget so much.
It was also when Fina and Sal arrived with a tray of tea and treats for them to eat while the two of them talked.
"You two can eat or wander around for a while," Rosina stated, and the two servants followed her words as they went back to the kitchen to grab some treats for themselves, leaving Rosina and Felissa alone again.
"I was forced by this man to be his mate, but I knew he wasn't the one I was looking for," Felissa whispered to start the story of her misery. "The best solution I think of was to reject the offer and search for my destined mate among the wolves, but this man kept insisting himself to me."
"Hmm," Rosina hummed and let her continue without disturbance.
"He was much older than me, and I heard that he had a fiancee before, but I don't know why they didn't get married. I thought it was going to be okay. Still, his sister, who was also joining the event came to find me and forced me to marry her brother," Felissa paused and took a sip of the tea to calm her nerves while remembering the new trauma she would carry throughout her life.
"When I refused their offer. That's when they started— " Felissa wavered and shut her eyes tightly as tears formed again. "They hit me once... then twice... They say, they'll beat me until I say yes to the marriage."
Felissa looked up to Rosina with light and a thankful smile. "That was when you arrived. I don't know what to do if you didn't appear at that moment. I could have agreed to their offer just to escape that situation."
Rosina took pity at Felissa. She stood beside her and pulled her shoulder for a hug. "It's fine now. They won't chase you again."
"Bu-but what if they would come back again and force me to marriage? I'm scared," Felissa cried out and held on to Rosina's arm tightly. Afraid that if she let go, she'll be pulled back into her worst nightmare of a terrible married life.
"I never made friends drinking milk."
