If anyone had looked past her mask they would have seen something scary, something not of this world something not human with her screla as black as space and her pupils an unnatural shade of yellow. Not to mention her purple skin that contrasted with her silver-white hair.

"Then I'm off Lucia ill see you in a few hours." Leon said as he stood on the Teleportation pad, his destination, Shin Lei City.

"Have a good day young master, and be safe."

"I will, see you later." He said before disappearing through the pad.

Leon opened his eyes again to see that he was in a brand new location. He immediately jumped off the pad and made his way out of the station, he saw a similar sight of all kinds of races just walking about but it was less busy than in the other city he went to.

" I should go to a nearby store and grab some food and water for the trail then I can get a taxi to the hike location."

Leon made his way to a nearby store following the map directions on his smartwatch. It was only a five-minute walk so not too far. Once he made it he took a look around and found a good size bottle of water and some sandwiches and made his way to the counter.

There was a small queue at the till and a line on the self-checkout so he decided to just wait in the till line. He didn't have to wait long as there was only one person in front of him left to be served, he was an older gentleman with a scruffy beard and blonde hair. He also had a cute daughter who was holding a cookie plushie close to her chest. She looked to be around a year or two younger than him.

{Beeep}

"I'm sorry sir but the transaction hasn't gone through. You have to return the stuff you grabbed or use a different card." The employee told the father bluntly and the father could only chuckle awkwardly.

" Let me try it one more time I swear I have the credits, I just don't know why it's not going through." The man swiped his card one more time but again it got declined. Now the people behind Leon were starting to lose their patience.

" D-dad does that mean I can't have the cookies." The little girl asked, clearly disappointed that she won't get to eat her favorite snack.

" I- I'm sorry ru.." But before he could finish that sentence a beep was heard from the machine and it flashed green.

"Huh!" The man and the store clerk were confused. Then they saw that the kid behind them had waved his wrist and had paid for the man's groceries.

" Here I've paid so you can take your stuff." Leon said. He felt bad for the kid so he decided what the heck, why not do a good deed.'

" You shouldn't have, now I'm embarrassed, but thank you, young man. What do we say to this kind gesture, Rubes." The man patted the young girl on the back.

"Thank you, big brother." She said with her big watery eyes staring right at him.

'Kuhhhhh!!! Cute, too cute.'

"You're welcome." He smiled at them before they left. The young girl looked at Leon and waved back one more time before leaving. Leon waved in return and paid for his stuff before leaving the store himself.

He ordered a taxi from his watch and waited. They took around 2 to 3 minutes to arrive as they are everywhere in the city.

When Leon got into his taxi he sat down and didn't say anything else. The destination was already written on the order, so for the next 10 minutes, Leon waited patiently, while also practicing his breathing exercises for practice.

Once he made it he tipped the driver 10 credits and left the car. Smelling the fresh mountain air he couldn't wait to see the view from up top. He looked around the area and saw there weren't many people around. Mostly just elves and humans but I guess that's to be expected as elves do love nature.

'Alright let's get going.'

Meanwhile, in the city near a patrol station, it was just a normal average day for most of the officers. Shin Lei was a peaceful city so it wasn't filled with crime. Just the petty theft or two every day, some possible speeding but that's it.

A male officer on patrol duty who had just come back made his way to the station but in the corner of his eye, he saw a person wearing an animal mask and black cloak. He found it weird especially when it looked like they were approaching him.

" Hey you, what are you doing wearing a getup like that in the middle of the day." The officer asked trying to intimidate the person but they just kept walking toward him.

A few other officers glanced at the person and got an unnerving feeling like something isn't quite right with this person's behavior.

" Didn't you hear me, I said..ghhf..fffdg..gfdddd."

Sadly the officer didn't get to say anything else as before anyone could react a magnetic Snake sword pierced right through his jugular.

Blood filled his mouth and with a wave of the man's sword welding hand the officer's head was severed from his body.

It was like the world had frozen. None of the officers who saw what had happened could believe what they had just witnessed.

"AHHHHHHHH"

It wasn't until the horrifying bellow of a civilian woke them up from their trance.

" PUT YOUR HANDS UP, AND DONT MOVE A MUSCLE "

" MOVE AND WE'LL SHOOT."

" YOU CRAZY BASTARD, WHAT THE HELL ARE WE WAITING FOR HE'S CLEARLY A PSYCHO, JUST SHOOT IT."

One of the police officers didn't want to give this maniac a chance. One because he was really scared and two, that person had just killed one of his closest friends so he was rightfully pissed and trigger happy.

{Bang}

So without warning, he shot an energy bullet thinking that would kill the criminal. But what he saw next shocked him. The masked Swordsman had actually reacted to the bullet and cut it in half.

"Your kidding...how!!" The man's shacky voice could be heard and the sound of other footsteps from other officers could be heard as well.

{Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang}

The man emptied his clip but everything he shot was either deflected or cut.

The masked swordsman lifted his head to the sky and held his hands up in a T Pose.

"LET BLOOD RAIN FALL ON OUR ENEMIES." The crazy swordsman shouted while continuing to repeat it like a chant at a football game.

"LET BLOOD RAIN FALL ON OUR ENEMIES, LET BLOOD RAIN FALL ON OUR ENEMIES, LET BLOOD RAIN FALL ON OUR ENEMIES."

A half-breed Rat/human officer who saw all this suddenly picked up a weird sound coming from the criminal's cloak.

{Tik tik tik tik}

It sounded like..like a timer..a timer" FUCK GET AWAY, HE HAS A..." He tried to warn his fellow officers but it was already too late.

The masked man smiled crazily under his mask.

" LET BLOOD RAIN FALL ON OUR ENEMIES...AS WE RISE FROM THEIR CORPSES...WE ARE INEVITABLE."

The officers only saw a flash of light before everything turned dark.

Leon was halfway up the mountain and was already loving the view from his position.

Deciding to take a little break he sat on a bolder and looked towards the city.

" I should probably take a few pictures and show them to mom and Lucia when I go back...Huh, what's that...."

Leon didn't know what had happened. One second he's resting on a boulder looking out to the city and the next a bright flash of light blinds him before a shockwave of unnatural proportions and heat blasted him ten meters away from his sittimg position.

He felt like he had just been sucker punched in the lungs and his skin felt like it had been hit with a wave of heat similar to that of a preheated oven.

Rock fragments flew every which direction...and that's when he finally heard it. The sound was so defining that he thought he would probably get permanent tinnitus.

After all that there was a terrible ghastly silence.
