"You …. What did you say?" Tapiwa asked with a stutter, hoping and praying that she had heard wrong.

How could it be?

What she had been praying against was what she was hearing. There was no way she would just accept this. There was no way this was real, right? Though at some point, she expected such.

"Tapiwa, you said that you wanted the truth, and this is the truth I am telling you now!" Wynter said dejectedly, her eyes imploring as she looked at Tapiwa.
