Chapter 30: Across the Line
Holly Adams POV:
“This is your brother?” Raf asked me.
I gave him my best smile, and for once, I didn’t need to fake it while I was around him. “The very same.” I tried to put my arm around Andy’s shoulders and pull him in, but I ended up getting in the way of the guard cleaning the cut on his forehead, so I had to stop. “Rafael King, meet Andrew Blaq,” I introduced, even though I knew Andy knew who Raf was.
“Your brother,” Raf repeated.
For a long moment, I was afraid Raf wasn’t buying it. Then he stepped back to Andy and offered him his hand properly.
“It’s good to meet you,” Raf told Andy happily. “Angela has told me a lot about you.”
“I’ve heard a lot about you too,” Andy replied as he shook Raf’s hand, though I knew it was no good thing.
“Your timing couldn’t be more perfect,” Raf continued. “Please, let’s go speak somewhere privately.”
“Honey, maybe that should wait,” I tried to protest. “I should get back in the cage.”
